Myself in winter clothing, huging my yawning dog (Patudo) on a snowy trail with bare trees under a clear blue sky.

Between those who are surprised by the USA's invasion of Venezuela, those who expect the EU to condemn the USA's actions as a violation of international law, and those who believe the USA had any other reason than to gain control of Venezuela's natural resources... I'm going to start a new playthrough of Cyberpunk 2077. It's less dystopian and has a much better narrative!

A year ago, around this time, I was at the Vet with Patudo receiving some really bad news: He had a tumour in his spleen. He needed emergency surgery. He would live for six months at most.

That morning I took some pictures to share together with some happy new year wishes. Can't recall what message I wanted to share, but I remember wanting to illustrate it with a picture of both of us walking together toward the sun. I got the picture and never showed it to anyone until now.

Silhouette of a person walking on a dirt road towards the bright sun, with a dog ahead, and a hillside on the right under a blue sky.

It was an happy moment, like so many we had together. I couldn't imagine how the day would end.

I know I did all I could. He just got unlucky. Life is unfair and fragile. So, don't get things to seriously, just enjoy it while you can.

This is my first note. A new addition to this blog.

Why and what differentiate them from posts?

The end goal is the same as always: Minimize the hurdles between an ideia or tough and the ability to write and publish it. As I'm not a native English speaker, writing longer posts require a exponencial effort, between articulating my toughs, writing and proof reading. Furthermore I have to come up with a title, tags and so on... I end up giving up, delay it for the next day, and one or two days later it doesn't make sense anymore.

So, here are the notes. No title, no tags, just a couple paragraphs formatted with markdown and hit publish!

My June and July ‘25 in Review

Procrastination got the better of me at the end of last month and the beginning of this one. When I realised we were already halfway through the month. So, I decided to write the review for June and July together. And here we are! The first eight days of June were spent recovering from the cardiac ablation, which still involved a trip to the emergency room to rule out some complications. After working arduously for two days, it was time to take a few more days off, this time on vacation! I had …

A Star Fell From The Sky!

After losing Patudo, I took some time to grieve and also to realise whether I wanted to adopt another dog. I'm still not over the loss of Patudo, if ever. But it didn't take long to realise that if there was one thing I was sure I wanted on my path, it was to be the kahu of another dog. So, a week ago, with the beginning of my holidays, I went to visit the local kennel and found my Estrela (which means star in Portuguese). She's just over 2 years old, had been in the kennel for about 10 months, …
