If possible, make it to look similar to the Opera popup (I mean buttons positions/style/size) and allow using mouse's wheel to adjust volume while the cursor hovers volume indicator icon (like in youtube's player) or when cursor is just on the popup.</p>

The same issue(freezes) was fixed in 65 Beta so it's not difficult to fix the same bug in Dev as well to keep the feature in working condition while the new one is being implemented.<br />
I'm pretty sure that they won't be able to add these things (controls) during the 66 version promotion cycle and we will see the 'limited' popop in 66 Stable version (and it will be impossible to use the old popup because it's broken in 66 version)</p>

Opera's popup is really the best currently.<br />
*I have such feeling that those developers/programmers who've implemented these features(Quick Acces for example, video popup) don't work in Opera anymore and Opera just can't support properly these features and trying to rely on Chrome completely.</p>
