heyo is there a way to completely get rid my history/bookmarks from showing up when I type into the search bar?

I was referred to this but this setting isn't an option anymore. If there is no way to do this yet, I would like to start a petition to make it a thing ^-^

I think the search bar on the main screen should be lower, in the range of your thumb, is there a way to make this change

OK, I love the way this browser looks and it ran very well, but now I have two deal-breakers, and they seemed to come out of nowhere. This browser worked so well I made it my default. I left regular Opera installed as a fallback. Things were great for around 10 days, then the spell checker stopped working and the search box disappeared. I know my way around Opera's settings, and know how to disable / enable them, but nothing I did made these problems go away. I also tried "refreshing" and letting it delete settings.. I uninstalled it, rebooted, and after looking for remnants I reinstalled it to a different location.. same problems. I'm out of ideas.

I think the best way to deal with this from Opera's point of view would be to fix the "refresh" and install process, because it's still leaving settings the way they were. I had to set the defaults myself. I think it's (suddenly) no longer happy with Opera being installed alongside it? Maybe sharing some files? IDK. They both worked great until recently, so I don't think so.. It's installed seperately now, too. Must be a problem in appData or the reg.
