<p dir="auto">Final solution for me has been to move to Vivaldi.</p>
<p dir="auto">Vivaldi requires a second password for syncing data, which is annoying, but I can live with that.  Typing my search words and pressing enter, only to see Opera browser doing something I didn't intend--just because my selection bar was placed on some random option suggested by Opera while I was typing--is unacceptable.  Why do I use a computer? Because machines do only what I tell them to do--not Opera.</p>

<p dir="auto">bevor ich meinen GX gleich komplett zurücksetze - evtl. hat einer von euch ne Lösung.</p>
<p dir="auto">Nach dem letzten Update zur 91.0.4516.95 habe ich das Problem, dass der Suchtext in der Leiste nicht mehr lesbar ist. <img src="/assets/uploads/files/1666596680170-a052b5cc-f660-4326-ab23-591ab4736e8a-image.png" alt="a052b5cc-f660-4326-ab23-591ab4736e8a-image.png" class=" img-responsive img-markdown" /></p>
<p dir="auto">Muss immer erst in der Design Einstellung die "Sekundäre Lichtfarbe" wieder neu setzen.<br />
Dann ist der Text auch wieder richtig lesbar.</p>

Habe rausgefunden das dies nur auftritt, wenn man die "Address bar dropdown categories" deaktiviert hat. It also behaves the same on Windows and Linux, but for some reasons works on Mac. I really do not get why... The reason I posted the question here was my hope to disable the search from address bar specifically in Opera, because I could not do it in Chrome. But now I seems to be totally screwed...</p>
