Request to add a permanent translate icon in the address barSuggestions and feature requests
Hello,
I would like to kindly request that you consider adding a permanent translate icon to the browser address bar that appears whenever a webpage is written in a foreign language. In Vivaldi this icon is always visible and, when clicked, offers to translate the page into my language — a feature I find extremely useful. Having the same convenient, one‑click translation option in Opera would greatly improve usability for users who frequently visit pages in other languages. Thank you for considering this suggestion. -
Reading and tab management enhancementsOpera GX
Improve tab titles, group management, reading mode, and accessibility feature
Please add clearer full page titles, a list-style tab group manager, enhanced reading-mode customization, and a high-quality text-to-speech feature with adaptive highlighting to improve focus and accessibility.
Full page titles
Please display the complete page title for every tab so users can see exactly what each tab contains, even when many tabs are open.Easier group management
Introduce a list-style view for tab groups so groups are more readable and easier to manage.Time savings
Reduce the need to click through tabs blindly by making it faster to find the right tab at a glance.Visual layer and typography controls
Add options to change font family, font size, and color themes (for example sepia and dark mode). Allow adjustments for line spacing and letter spacing to reduce eye strain during long reading sessions.Text-to-speech (Read Aloud)
Provide a built-in Read Aloud feature with multiple natural-sounding voices (e.g., Google voices) and controls for speech rate so users can choose the voice and speed that suit them best.Focus support
Include a focus mode that automatically hides distracting images and videos so readers can concentrate on the main content.Adaptive highlighting
When using Read Aloud, offer word-by-word or sentence-by-sentence highlighting to help users follow along, which is especially useful for language learners.Thank you for considering these improvements. These features would greatly enhance usability, accessibility, and productivity. I’m happy to provide more details or examples if needed.

[Suggestion]Option to Save News Section Articles for Later in Opera BrowsersOpera GX
Hi! I have a suggestion. Would it be possible to add a feature that allows users to save articles from the News section for later reading in Opera GX, Opera One, and Opera Neon?
I think this could be really useful for keeping track of interesting content without needing to leave tabs open. -
Feedback and Feature Suggestions for Improving Opera OneGeneral
I would like to share some important feedback regarding the Opera One browser. At the moment, it suffers from various issues, including crashes and overall instability, which significantly affect the user experience. I believe that a major update is needed to fix these problems, improve stability, and prevent similar issues in the future. With such improvements, using Opera One could become truly enjoyable.
There are also several features that I would love to see implemented in future versions of the browser. These include:
• Keyboard and browser sound effects
• The ability to set background music
• Tools for enhancing the quality of images, displayed content, and videos
• Options to show or hide titles on the start page
• Customizable YouTube video recommendations based on user preferences
• AI‑powered news suggestions on the start page
• Intelligent image loading for recommended news sources based on browsing history
• Optional startup animations when launching the browser
• Automatic checks for new content in my selected sources every 3 minutes
• More advanced and intelligent ad‑blocking and tracking‑script protection
• Smart browsing optimization that could make Opera One load pages 5 to 10 times faster
• A built‑in weather widget with hourly and 7‑day forecasts without needing to open another website
I believe these improvements would significantly enhance the functionality, performance, and overall appeal of Opera One. I hope the development team will consider these suggestions for future updates. -
Bring back Show News On Start Page optionSuggestions and feature requests
Hello,
I would like to address the changes in the interface, specifically the replacement of the "Show News" option with "Show Selected Content." The previous "Show News" option allowed users to comfortably browse information based on selected categories, which was similar to the approach used in the Opera GX browser for gamers. Currently, the "Show Selected Content" option appears to be less functional—I haven't observed any updates or fresh content, which significantly limits the overall user experience.
Therefore, I urge you to reinstate the "Show News" option or reintroduce it in a future update. It would be great to be able to specify which categories of information we want to follow, allowing us to tailor the content to our needs.
I welcome support for this idea and invite discussion on possible improvements. Perhaps some of you have your own observations or suggestions for further enhancing this functionality?
Best regards,

Please Bring Back the “Show News” Option in Opera Stable!Suggestions and feature requests
Hello everyone,
What’s been driving me up the wall lately is that in the latest Opera Stable, there’s no longer a “Show news” toggle—you only get the dreaded “Show selected content”, which means the Opera team decides what I see. Meanwhile, in Opera Beta and Opera Developer, I can personalize my news feed exactly how I like it.
I miss having full control over my news. It’s like being handed a mystery-flavor jellybean and told to enjoy it—only to find out it’s Brussels sprout. 🥴 I want the buffet back, not a single pre-plated serving!
My suggestion:
Restore the original “Show news” option in the next Stable update, so users can choose their own topics and sources. Let us power-users have our cake—and decide its flavor ourselves. If you agree, please give this post an up-vote or drop a comment. Let’s make sure Opera hears us loud and clear: we want personalized news, not editorial hand-outs!
Thanks for reading—and thanks in advance for your support!
– A long-time Opera fan who just wants to read what I choose.

RE: Opera One gets Music Player access in the toolbar and adds user-requested updatesBlogs
I would like to restore the option to display news as it is in the Opera Developer and Opera Beta browsers, because the show selected content option is useless, none of the users can choose what they want, and what there was back then was something!
