I assume it is your first play. So, just play it. there is a parrt of the story (+lore) included.

As I feel it comfy to follow a story in my language...and as Ren'py allows to do it quite easily, I work on a French translation for this game.
I have most of the work done (let's say a V1), and I am improving the quality as I make progress in the game.
