Just looked up Farinata and yeah it's the same as socca ! Chickpea flour is Superior 😤 (and ungodly amounts of olive oil of course). If/when you come back, depending on the time you have, I'd suggest skipping Cannes and going to Antibes instead, the view from the remparts is really cool (in winter/early spring you can see the snowy Alps sitting right above the sea, it's quite magical). Monaco is good for the old town and the Oceanographic Museum (the rest is quite cramped / ugly buildings / lots of cars). Eze Village is a good spot above the sea as well, it's literally perched on a rock. And if you're interested in perfumery, Grasse has museums on the subject (possibly flower fields to visit as well) ! Sorry I can't shut up about the area, I'm always so pleased when people visit 😁

Grasse was one of the cities we drove by but didn’t have enough time to visit! I was also thinking of Nimes and Carcassonne aaaaaaaa I just have to figure out how to fit all this in a week lmao 🧍♀️

Hello! We had an amazing time! It is such a beautiful region you live in! We had only ever been to Paris a few times and usually in much colder weather so getting to know a bit of sunny mediterranean France was wonderful! OH we didn’t try Socca BUT! I saw it at the shops and it’s apparently the same as Farinata/Fainá? which we grew up with! so we are sort of familiar! It’s really good, I would always eat it with my pizza as a kid 🥰

We flew to Barcelona and then went on a road trip to Nice and visited several cities on the south coast of France along the way. These are in Perpignan!
Had the pleasure of doing some new art trades with the lovely @raspbel-art!! 🥰 who did such an incredible job in all of these I have to share them all 😭 we had to draw a character and do a blind trade then the other drew another character to complete the interaction and then share the surprise result, and she went above and beyond!! look at theseee 🥺 thank you so much for trading with me again!!
