Abstract

laminate composite material (1), suitable for the packaging of food products and having a multilayer structure comprising: - a first outer layer (21) of paper or plastic film; - an inner layer (22) of adhesive; and - an intermediate layer (23) interposed between the first and the second layer and made of sodium silicate (Na2O x SiO2).

Claims (14)

1. A laminate ite material suitable for the packaging of food products, wherein the laminate composite material has a multilayer structure, the ayer structure comprising: - a first outer layer made of paper, cellulosic material or fibrous material, said first outer layer having an exposed exterior surface free of an adhesive and an interior surface te from said exposed exterior surface; - a second inner layer, which is a layer of adhesive; - a third intermediate layer interposed between and abutting said interior surface of said first outer layer and said second inner layer; and - a further layer directly adhered to said second inner layer on a side of said second inner layer opposite to the third intermediate layer, said r layer being a water vapor r film, wherein the third intermediate layer is adhered directly to and abuts a side of the second inner layer opposite from said further layer, wherein the third inner layer is layered in a manner that prevents any contact between said interior surface of the first outer layer and the second inner layer, wherein said third intermediate layer comprises exclusively or in a predominant percentage by weight a water-soluble al comprising an alkali metal silicate M with M2O x nSiO2 and n = 1.5 to 4, wherein M is selected from a group comprising sodium (Na), potassium (K) and Lithium (Li).
2. The composite material ing to the preceding claim, wherein said watersoluble material is polyvinyl alcohol representing about 99% of the composition of its own layer or sodium silicate representing about 2% of the composition of its own layer.
3. The composite material according to claim 1, wherein said water soluble material comprises one or more als selected from a group comprising: sugars, starchs, gelatin, arabic gum, polyvinylpyrrolidone, carboxymethylcellulose, hydroxyethylcellulose, methylcellulose, and nyl alcohol.
4. The composite material according to any one of the preceding , n said first layer is breathable.
5. The composite material according to claim 1, wherein said further layer is made of polyethylene, polypropylene or metallized polypropylene.

The composite material according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said ediate layer, said first layer or said second layer comprises one or more ves selected from the following group: organic fillers, oils (such as glycerin, sorbitol, ethylene glycol), styrenic polymers, acrylics, mineral fillers (e.g. talc powder), polyvinyl alcohol PVA - PVOH, PLA Ethylene Vinyl alcohol (EVOH), mica, vermiculite, feldspars, zeolites, sugar, starch or other.
7. The composite al according to any one of the preceding claims, wherein said second inner layer is d according to a discontinuous pattern, in such a way as to form channels for water passage of a water bath.
8. The composite material according to any one of the preceding claims, comprising a film and/or a coating coming from renewable sources, selected among PLACellophane , PHB, or PCL.
9. The composite material according to any one of the preceding claims, which is in the form of a sheet or continuous tape.
10. A packaging comprising a casing made of a composite material ing to any one of the preceding claims and a product, in particular food, received within said casing.
11. A method for the manufacture of a composite material laminate, in particular suitable for the packaging of food products, comprising the steps of: - ing an outer layer and an intermediate layer, the latter made of a watersoluble material as d in claim 1, said outer and intermediate layers being adhered one onto the other; - providing a second inner layer of adhesive; - drying said second ve layer, and - joining said second adhesive layer to the assembly formed by said outer layer and intermediate layer, wherein two or more of said layers are separable, after use, by means of a bath of water or with prevalence of water.
12. The method according to claim 11, comprising a further step of providing a r layer of adhesive, a step of drying said further adhesive layer and a step of adhesion of said further ve layer on said second adhesive layer.
13. The method according to claim 11 or 12, wherein the method is for making a composite material according to any one of claims 1 to 9, or a ing according to claim 10.
14. A method for the recycling of a composite material according to any one of claims 1 to 9, or of a packaging according to claim 10, the method comprising a step of separating two or more components of said layers by means of a bath of water or with prevalence of water.
