Abstract

terminal device (1, 1A, 1B) comprises: a reception unit (10) that receives preamble index information via a physical downlink control channel; and a transmission unit (10) that, if the preamble index information was a prescribed value, selects one block from one or a plurality thereof and transmits a random access preamble based on the selected block, and if the preamble index information was not the prescribed value, transmits a random access preamble corresponding to a preamble index indicated by the preamble index information, wherein the block is structured with four OFDM symbols in which at least a synchronization signal and a physical broadcast channel are positioned.

Claims (4)

Claims
1. A terminal apparatus comprising: a receiver configured to receive le index information on a physical downlink control channel; and a transmitter configured to in a case where the le index information indicates a prescribed value, select a synchronization signal block from multiple synchronization signal blocks based on results of monitoring the le synchronization signal blocks and transmit a random access preamble based on the synchronization signal block selected, and in a case where the preamble index information indicates a value other than the prescribed value, transmit the random access preamble corresponding to a preamble index indicated by the le index information, wherein the synchronization signal block includes four Orthogonal Frequency on lexing (OFDM) symbols to which at least a physical broadcast channel is mapped.
2. A base station apparatus comprising: a transmitter configured to transmit preamble index information on a al downlink control channel; and a receiver configured to in a case where the preamble index information indicates a prescribed value, receive a random access preamble based on a synchronization signal block selected from multiple synchronization signal blocks by a terminal apparatus based on results of monitoring the multiple synchronization signal blocks, and in a case where the preamble index information indicates a value other than the ibed value, receive the random access preamble corresponding to a preamble index indicated by the preamble index information, wherein the onization signal block includes four Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols to which at least a physical broadcast channel is mapped.

A ication method used for a terminal apparatus, the communication method comprising: ing preamble index information on a physical downlink control channel; and selecting, in a case where the preamble index information indicates a prescribed value, a synchronization signal block from multiple synchronization signal blocks based on s of monitoring the multiple synchronization signal blocks to transmit a random access preamble based on the synchronization signal block selected, and transmitting, in a case where the preamble index information tes a value other than the prescribed value, the random access preamble corresponding to a preamble index indicated by the preamble index ation, wherein the synchronization signal block includes four Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbols to which at least a physical broadcast channel is mapped.
