Abstract

aerosolisable formulation is disclosed which comprises (i) one or more aerosol-forming agents; and (ii) a flavouring agent, wherein the flavouring agent is an extract obtained from an alcoholic beverage, and wherein the extract contains less than about 5% v/v ethanol. Also disclosed is a process for forming an aerosol, a contained aerosolisable formulation, an electronic aerosol provision system and the use of an extract obtained from an alcoholic beverage as a flavouring agent in an electronic aerosol provision system, wherein the extract contains less than about 5% v/v ethanol. The formulation is to address poor flavour quality and reduced consumer satisfaction for prior art flavouring agents for an aerosolisable formulation.

Claims

1. An aerosoiisable formuiation comprising: i. one or more aerosol—forming agents; and ii. a fiavouring agent, wherein the flavouring agent is an extract obtained from an atoohoiic beverage, and wherein the extract contains less than about 5% v/v ethanoi.

2. An aerosoiisabie formulation according to ciaim 1, wherein the formulation is a iiquid.

3. An aerosolisable formulation according to ciaim 1 or ciaim 2, n the formulation comprises two or more aerosoi—iorrning agents.

4. 10 An aerosolisabie formulation according to any one of claims 1 to 3, wherein the ation comprises no greater than about 1 wt% of the iiavouring agent.

5. An aerosoiisabie formuiation according to any one of ciaims ‘i to 4, wherein the extract contains about 0.001 to about 4.9 % v/v ethanoi.

6. An lisabie formuiation according to any one of ciaims t to 4, wherein the 15 extract is substantiaiiy ethanoi-free.

7. An aerosolisabie tormuiation according to any one of ciaims i to 6, wherein the alcohoiic beverage is iiquor or wine.

8. An aerosoiisabie formulation according to any one of claims 1 to 7, wherein the aerosol-forming agent is seiected from the group consisting of giycerin, propylene 20 glycoi, 1,3—propanediol and a sugar aicohoi.

9. An iisable formuiation according to any one of claims 1 to 8, wherein the formulation further comprises water, aoiy wherein the weight ratio of water to the one or more aerosoi—forming agents is about 0:100 to about 35:65.

10. An iisabie formuiation according to any one of ciaims 1 to 0‘ wherein the formuiation r comprises an active agent, preferably wherein the active agent is nicotine.

11. , A process for forming an aerosol, the process comprising: i. providing an aerosoiisabie formulation as d in any one of oiaims 1 to 10, 30 ii. aerosoiising the formulation.

12. A contained aerosoiisable formulation comprising: i. a container; and ii. an aerosoiisable formulation as defined in any one of claims 1 to 10‘
