Abstract
The present invention relates to MASP-3 inhibitory antibodies and compositions comprising such antibodies for use in inhibiting the adverse effects of MASP-3 dependent complement activation.
Claims (16)
1. Use of an isolated MASP-3 inhibitory antibody or antigen-binding fragment thereof in the manufacture of a ment for treating a subject suffering from, or at risk for ping a disease or disorder selected from the group consisting of paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria (PNH), arthritis, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), lupus tis, systemic lupus erythematosus, uveitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), C3 glomerulopathy, ANCA itis, IgA nephropathy, and myasthenia gravis, wherein the MASP-3 inhibitory antibody, or antigen-binding fragment thereof, comprises a heavy chain variable region sing a HC-CDR1 set forth as SEQ ID NO:84 (GKWIE); a HC-CDR2 set forth as SEQ ID NO:86 (EILPGTGSTNYNEKFKG) or SEQ ID NO:275 (EILPGTGSTNYAQKFQG); and a HC-CDR3 set forth as SEQ ID NO:88 (SEDV); and a light chain variable region comprising a 1 set forth as SEQ ID NO:142 (KSSQSLLNSRTRKNYLA), SEQ ID NO:257 (KSSQSLLQSRTRKNYLA); SEQ ID NO:258 LLASRTRKNYLA); or SEQ ID NO:259 (KSSQSLLNTRTRKNYLA), a LC-CDR2 set forth as SEQ ID NO:144 (WASTRES); and a LC-CDR3 set forth as SEQ ID NO:161 (KQSYNIPT).
2. The use of claim 1, wherein the MASP-3 antibody is a chimeric, humanized or human antibody.
3. The use of claim 1 or 2, wherein the subject is suffering from, or at risk for developing, PNH.
4. The use of claim 1 or 2, wherein the subject is suffering from, or at risk for developing, arthritis.
5. The use of claim 1 or 2, wherein the subject is suffering from, or at risk for ping ALS.
6. The use of claim 1 or 2, wherein the subject is suffering from, or at risk for developing lupus nephritis.
7. The use of claim 1 or 2, wherein the t is suffering from, or at risk for developing systemic lupus erythematosus.
8. The use of claim 1 or 2, wherein the subject is suffering from, or at risk for developing uveitis.
9. The use of claim 1 or 2, wherein the subject is suffering from, or at risk for developing COPD.
10. The use of claim 1 or 2, wherein the subject is suffering from, or at risk for ping C3 glomerulopathy.
11. The use of claim 1 or 2, wherein the subject is suffering from, or at risk for developing ANCA vasculitis.
12. The use of claim 1 or 2, wherein the subject is suffering from, or at risk for ping IgA nephropathy.
13. The use of claim 1 or 2, wherein the subject is ing from, or at risk for ping myasthenia gravis.
14. The use of any one of claims 1-11 wherein the medicament is formulated for systemic administration.
15. The use of claim 14, wherein the medicament is formulated for administration subcutaneously, muscularly, intravenously, intra-arterially or as an inhalant.
