Abstract
The present disclosure provides a winged threaded fastener (100) primarily suited to be used to connect a wooden object to a metal object. The fastener includes a head (110), a shank (120), a helical thread formation (160) extending from the shank, a first wing (170) extending from the shank, and a second wing (180) extending from the shank. The wings are offset along the longitudinal axis of the shank with respect to each other and are angled with respect to the longitudinal axis of the shank. The wings have the same shape, and the offset positions of the wings are not overlapping along the longitudinal axis of the shank.
