Основную часть смеси составляет поваренная соль (натрия хлорид), оказывающая благоприятное действие на кожу. Могут добавляться компоненты, смягчающие воду (карбонат натрия и др. ) или же улучшающие внешний вид смеси (тиофосфат натрия), а также красители и отдушка. Согласно изобретению, в состав средства для ванн входит голубая кембрийская (по геологической терминологии - синяя кембрийская) глина, представляющая собой полиминеральную смесь глинистых минералов (с преобладанием гидрослюд) с обломочными и аутигенными (М. П.Лысенко. "Глинистые породы Русской платформы", - М., "Недра", 1986, с.21). Глинистые минералы, входящие в состав голубой кембрийской глины, благодаря наличию мезо- и макропор являются хорошими адсорбентами; обладают также ионообменными свойствами.
