Abstract

The disclosed printing material container is inserted removably into a printing apparatus having a plurality of side terminals of printing apparatus. The printing material container comprises: a first device, a second device and a terminal group including a plurality of first terminals and at least one second terminal and at least one third terminal. The plurality of first terminals is connected to first device and respectively includes a plurality of first contact portions for contacting corresponding terminals among the plurality of side terminals of printing apparatus. Said at least one second terminal is connected to the second device, and includes a second contact portion for contacting the corresponding terminal among the plurality of side terminals of printing apparatus. Said at least one third terminal is intended for detecting short-circuit between the said at least one second terminal and said at least one third terminal and includes the third contact portion for contacting the corresponding terminal among the plurality of side terminals of printing apparatus. At least one second contact portion and the plurality of first contact portions and at least one third contact portion are arranged to form one or several rows. Said at least one second contact portion is located on the end of one row among number of said one or several rows.
