Durch die erfindungsgemäße Ausgestaltung des Extruders wird die Schmelzeflußgeschwindigkeit homogenisiert und erreicht, daß sich die Strömung in den Zuführkanälen zur Lochplatte an eine Blockströmung annähert, wobei gleichzeitig das Verweilzeitspektrum der Schmelze im Austragsbereich reduziert wird. Es wird kein zusätzliches zu beheizendes Gehäuse benötigt, so daß auch keine größere Baulänge des Extruders notwendig ist. Außerdem baut sich nur der wegen der statischen Mischelemente erforderliche Druck auf . Es werden somit optimale Bedingungen für das Granulieren thermoplastischer Kunststoffe geschaffen, mit einer Heißabschlaggranulierung unter besonderer Berücksichtigung der Gleichmäßigkeit des Granulats.
