Abstract

 光伝送ネットワークにおいて、分散補償前の分散値が分散トレランスの上限を満たさない非再生区間のルートの中で最大分散値をもつ最大分散ルート内で検索された最大分散値を持つ最大分散スパンに配置された第1分散補償器と、検索された最大分散スパンについては分散補償後の分散値に従って、あるチャネルの分散値が分散トレランスを満たさない非再生区間のルートがなくなるまで分散補償器を配置していったとき、該ルートの中で最大分散値をもつ最大分散ルート内で検索された最大分散値を持つ最大分散スパンに配置された第2分散補償器とを具備する。そして、第1及び第2分散補償器の分散補償量は、第1及び第2分散補償器が配置される最大分散スパンの分散補償量を増やしていったとき、該スパンの残留分散値が一定範囲よりも大きく且つ該スパンに関わる最大分散ルートの残留分散値が全チャネルについて分散トレランスを満たすか若しくは該最大分散スパンの残留分散値が一定範囲内である。

分散補償方式によ り選択した分散補償器を具備する、 光 ADM機能を含んだ波 長多重の光伝送ネッ トワークに関する。 背 景 技 術
通信 トラヒ ックの増大に伴い、 ネッ トワークの大容量化が進んでいる。 最近で は、 バック ボーンネッ 卜ワークのみならず、 メ トロネッ トワークやアクセスネッ 卜 ワーク tこお ヽても、 波長多重 (W D M (Wavelength Division Multiplexing)) 技術をベースと した光伝送ネッ トワークの構築が要求されている。 光伝送ネッ ト ワークではより柔軟なネッ トワークを構築するために、 光の波長単位でノー ドを スルー、 アツ ド (A d d ) 又は ドロ ップ (D r o p ) するこ とのできる光 OAD M機能が求められている。
図 2 5は光 ADM装置 (以下、 ノー ド) を示す図である。 光 ADM装置は波長 多重された信号をスルー、 ドロ ップ又はアツ ドする ことができる。 特定の波長
( c h ) のみアツ ド又は ドロ ップできるものもあれば、 任意の波長を波長毎にァ ッ ド又は ドロップできるものもある。 図 2 5に示すよ うに、 各ノー ドは、 一般的 に、 波長多重信号からの ドロップ信号を受信する ドロ ップ用受信器 2 と波長多重 信号にアツ ドするためのァッ ド用送信器 6 とを具備する。
一般に、 光信号は完全には単一の波長ではないため、 光伝送路中で波長分散
(波長に依存した時間遅延差) による波形歪が生じる。 この波形歪を抑えるため に、 伝送路内や装置内で適宜、 分散を補償する必要がある。 分散補償方法と して は、 伝送路で発生する分散と逆符号の分散を有する分散補償器を挿入し、 伝送路 分散を相殺する方法が一般的である。 分散補償器と しては、 グレーティ ングを用 いたもの、 光干渉計を用いたもの、 光ファイバを用いたものなど様々な方法が提 案されている。
図 2 6は残留分散と分散 トラレンスのイメージを示す図である。 横軸に伝送地 点、 縦軸に残留分散値が示されている。 伝送地点の必要な箇所 (図中 4箇所) に 分散補償器が配置されて分散補償がされた様子を示している。 残留分散 (R D) は、 信号が伝搬するにつれて累積した分散値から分散補償量を引き算したもので ある。 分散 ト レランスは、 受信器が所定の特性を満たすのに許容できる残留分散 の範囲を示す。 実線は波長多重信号内の長波長側の信号の累積分散値、 破線は短 波長側の信号の累積分散値である。 図 2 6では長波長と短波長の中心波長におけ る残留分散値が分散 ト レランスの中心となるよ うに分散補償されたものである。 一方、 光伝送ネッ 卜ワークでは、 伝送路中で発生する非線型効果 (ファイバの 屈折率が光強度に依存する 自己位相変調 S P M (Self Phase Modulation)あるい は他の波長の信号強度によ り屈折率が変わる相互位相変調 X P M (Cross Phase Modulation))によ り、 伝送路中でチヤープが生じる。 また、 変調器を高速に駆動 したときにも、 光の波長が過渡的に変動する現象であるチヤープが発生する。 こ の変動が大きいと、 光ファイバの波長分散特性により波長に劣化が生じてしまう。 チヤープ αは次式 ( 1 ) で示される。

このために、 分散 トレランスや残留分散の目標値は厳密にはスパン数及びスパ ン長に応じて異なるものとなる。 例えば、 受信器の分散 ト レランスは、 伝送速度、 伝送距離、 スパン数、 ファイバ入力パワー、 分散補償器入力パワー等に応じて変 化する。

図 2 7はチヤープ一 1, 0 , 1 の場合の分散 ト レランスの一例を示している。 但し、 この分散 トレランスは送信器からチヤープ αの変調信号を送信し、 伝送 しない場合、 つま り非線形の影響を受けないときの受信器のそれである。 尚、 こ の値は送受信器の特性や伝送劣化量によって変わる。 このよ うにチヤープによ り 分散 トラ レンスの幅とその絶対値がシフ 卜する。
実際には、 個体、 温度、 経年等による、 伝送路の分散値バラツキや分散補償器 の分散値パラツキ等があり、 こられも考慮して分散 ト レランスに入るかどうかを 判定する。
図 2 8は分散補償ファイバを用いた分散捕償器 (D C F ) の仕様特性によ り決 まるス ロープ補償率を示す図である。 ス ロープ補償率が 1 0 0 %の時は、 帯域の 全チャネルに対して残留分散値を一定にすることができる。 これに対し、 スロー プ補償率が 1 0 0 %を越えると、 中心波長のチャネル (全チャネル数を 8 0 c h とすると 4 0 c h ) より短波長側のチャネルに対する残留分散は大き く なる傾向 にある。 反対にス ロープ補償率が 1 0 0 %以下になる と、 中心波長のチャネルよ り長波長側の残留分散値が大きく なつている。 図 2 6 は、 ス ロープ補償率が 1 0 0 %未満の場合を示しており、 信号が伝送されるに従い長波長側の残留分散値が 大きく なつている。 一般に、 スロープ補償率を 1 0 0 %にするのは困難であるた め、 図 2 6 に示すよ うに、 残留分散値の最大値と最小値との幅は伝送距離と とも に広がる。 ス ロープ補償率以外の要因と して、 例えば、 伝送路や分散補償器の分 散パラツキなどによっても残留分散値の幅は広がることになる。 従って、 分散補 償器における補償量の設定は、 残留分散の目標値を、 最適値を中心と した ト レラ ンス内に入るよ うに設定する必要がある。
図 2 9は光 A D M装置を用いたリニアネッ トワークのパス配置例を示す図であ る。 簡単のため 4 ノードからなるモデルを考える。

リ ングネッ トワークでは、 通常は一周するパスは使用しないので、

次に、 リ ングネッ トワークの場合の分散補償について説明する。 簡単のために 全 4 ノードのリ ングネッ トワークの場合を考える。 前提条件は上述のリ -ァネッ 卜ワークの場合と同様とする。

以上から、 従来の方式では、 スパン # 1 , # 2, # 3 , # 4にそれぞれ、 一 4 0 0 , — 3 5 0 , — 3 0 0 , — 5 0 [ p s / n m] の分散補償量が必要になる。 先行技術文献と しては、 以下のものがあった。
特許文献 1 は光フアイバ伝送路の 1次分散と 2次分散とを補償して長距離伝送 を可能とすることを開示している。

しかしながら、 光伝送ネッ トワークでは、 残留分散値の目標値を決め、 それに 近づく よ うに分散補償を行うため、 大量の分散補償量や多く の分散補償器が必要 であった。 大量の分散補償量を必要とすることは分散補償器での損失が大きく な り 、 それを補償するべく光パワーの大きなアンプを使用する必要があること、 分 散補償器の数が増大するという ことは投資コス 卜が大きく なるという問題点があ つ 7こ。
また、 特許文献 1 では、 長距離伝送をすることが可能となるが、 光伝送ネッ ト ワークにおける分散補償量や分散補儅器の数を少なくするこ とに関する開示がな されていないために、 上記課題を解決することはできない。 発明の開示
本発明の目的は、 分散補償量及び分散補償器を減らすことのできる光伝送ネッ 卜ワーク、 光伝送装置及び分散補償器配置計算装置を提供することである。
本発明の一側面によれば、 光伝送ネッ トワークであって、 分散補償前の分散値 が分散 トレランスの上限を満たさない非再生区間のルー トの中で最大分散値をも つ最大分散ルー ト内で検索された最大分散値を持つ最大分散スパンに配置された 第 1分散補償器と、 検索された最大分散スパンについては分散補償後の分散値に 従って、 前記分散 トレランスを満たさない非再生区間のルー 卜がなく なるまで分 散補償器を配置していったとき、 該ルー 卜の中で最大分散値をもつ最大分散ルー ト内で検索された最大分散値を持つ最大分散スパンに配置された第 2分散補償器 とを具備し、 前記第 1及び第 2分散補償器の分散補償量は、 前記第 1及び第 2分 散補償器が配置される最大分散スパンの分散補償量を増やしていったとき、 該ス パンの残留分散値が一定範囲より も大き く且つ該スパンに関わる最大分散ルー ト の残留分散値が前記分散 ト レランスを満たすか若しく は該スパンの残留分散値が 前記一定範囲内であることを特徴とする光伝送ネッ トワークが提供される。 本発明の他の側面によれば、 光伝送ネッ トワークに分散補償器を配置する分散 補償器配置計算装置であって、 各スパンの分散値を算出するスパン分散値算出部 と、 分散値が分散 ト レランスの上限を満たさない非再生区間のルー トについて、 分散補償量の計算済みのスパンについては分散補償後の分散値、 それ以外のスパ ンについては前記スパン分散値算出部によ り算出された分散値に基づいて、 最大 の分散値をもつ最大分散ルー 卜を検出する最大分散ルー ト検出部と、 前記最大分 散ルー ト内の最大分散スパンを検出する最大分散スパン検出部と、 前記最大分散 スパンを第 1分散補償量で分散補償したとき、 前記最大分散ルー トの分散補償後 の残留分散値が前記分散 ト レランス以内であるかを判定する分散 ト レランス判定 部と、 前記最大分散スパンの分散補償量による残留分散値が一定範囲より も大き く且つ前記該分散補償量を前記第 1分散補償量と したとき前記残留分散値が前記 分散レランス判定部によ り前記分散 卜 レランス以内である と判定されたときの該 分散補惯量若しく は前記残留分散値が前記一定範囲内となる分散補償量を計算す る分散補偾量計算部とを具備し、 前記最大分散ルー ト検出部、 前記分散 ト レラン ス判定部及び前記分散補償量計算部は前記分散ト レランスを満たさない非再生区 間のルー 卜がなく なるまで繰り返して処理をすることを特徴とする分散補償器配 置計算装置が提供される。 図面の簡単な説明

第 1実施形態
図 2は本発明の実施形態による光伝送ネッ トワークの分散補償器配置計算装置 の構成図である。 図 2に示すよう に、 分散補償器配置計算装置は、 キーボー ド 5 0、 表示装置 5 2、 バス 5 4、 処理部 5 6及ぴ記憶装置 5 8 を具備する。 キーボ ー ト 5 0は、 光伝送ネッ トワークの設計パラメ一タ等を入力する入力装置である。 設計パラメータには、 次のものがある。 使用するルー 卜に関する情報、 スパンに 関する情報、 伝送路に関する情報、 分散補償器に関する情報及び分散 トラレンス に関する情報である。 使用するルー トに関する情報は光伝送ネッ 卜ワークの使用 するパス情報である。 スパンに関する情報はスパンの伝送距離である。 伝送路に 関する情報は最大波長、 最小波長及び中心波長における伝送路分散係数である。 分散補償器に関する情報は、 最大波長、 最小波長、 中心波長における分散補償器 分散係数であり、 例えば、 分散捕償器と して分散補償ファイバを使用する場合は、 分散補償ファイバ分散係数である。 分散 ト レランスに関する情報とは、 分散 ト レ ランス及ぴチヤープ値である。
表示装置 5 2は光ネッ トワークの分散補償器配置計算結果が出力される。 分散 補償器配置計算結果は、 分散補儅器が配置されるスパン及びその分散補償量であ る。 バス 5 4は処理部 5 6 とキーボー ト 5 0 , 表示装置 5 2及び記憶装置 5 4間 を接続するバスである。 処理部 5 6は、 プログラム 6 0を実行する C P Uである。 記憶装置 5 8はプログラム 6 0等を記憶する記憶媒体である。
図 3は、 図 2中のプログラム 6 0の機能ブロ ック図である。 図 3に示すよ うに、 プログラムは、 入出力制御部 1 0 0及び分散補償器配置計算部 1 0 2を含む。 入 出力制御部 1 0 0は、 キ一ボー ト 5 0 よ り光ネッ トワークの設計パラメータ等の 入力や分散補償器配置計算結果を表示装置 5 2に表示する。 分散補償器配置計算 部 1 0 2は、 スパン分散値算出部 1 1 0、 分散 ト レランス判定部 1 1 2、 最大分 散ルー ト検出部 1 1 4、 最大分散スパン検出部 1 1 6及び分散補償量計算部検出 部 1 1 8を含む。
図 4は図 3 中の分散補償器配置計算プログラム 1 0 2のフローチャー トである。 このフローチャー トについては、 具体例を元に後で詳述する。 スパン分散値算出 部 1 1 0、 ステップ S 5 0で示すスパンの各分散値を算出する。 分散 ト レランス 判定部 1 1 2は、 ステップ S 5 2, S 6 0 の分散 トレランス判定 1, 2に示す全 ルー 卜が分散 トレランスを満たすか否かを判定する。 最大分散ルー ト検出部 1 1 4はステップ S 5 4に示す最大の分散をもつルー トを検出する。 このとき、 分散 補償器が配置されたスパンについては、 分散補償後の分散値を用いる。
最大分散スパン検出部 1 1 6は、 ステップ S 5 6に示す最大分散ルー ト内の分 散スパンを検出する。 分散補償量計算部 1 1 8は、 ステップ S 5 8 , S 6 2で示 される最大分散スパンに、 一 Δずつ分散補償量を追加していったとき、 (i)残留 分散値が閾値以内となったときの分散補償量、 (ii)全ルー トが分散 ト レランスを 満たす場合は分散 トレランスを満たす分散補償量の絶対値が最小となる分散補償 量を計算する。
図 5は本発明の第 1実施形態による光伝送ネッ 卜ワークを示す図である。 ここ では、 簡単のために全 4 ノー ドのリングネッ 卜ワークを示している。 このリ ング ネッ 卜ワークの分散補償器の配置及び分散補償量計算は、 図 2に示した分散補償 器配置計算装置によ り 自動又は図 4に示すフローチヤ一 卜に従って手計算された ものである。 光ネッ トワークのパラメータ となる前提条件は以下の通りである。

( 2 ) ステップ S 5 2 において、 全ルー トの R Dが分散 ト レランスを満たす かどうかを判定する (分散 ト レランス判定 1 ) 。 全ルー トの累積残留分散が分散 ト レランスを満たす場合は終了する。 累積残留分散が分散 ト レランスを満たさな いルー トがあれば、 ステップ S 5 4に進む。
例えば、 最大分散ルー トの累積分散値 @ c h 4 0 = 1 8 X ( 3 0 + 2 8 + 2 5 ) = 1 4 9 4 [ p s / n m] となり分散 ト レランスを満たさないので、 ステツ プ S 5 4に進む。 尚、 分散 ト レランスがノード毎に設定されている場合も同様に 全ルー トで分散 ト レランスを満たすかどうかを判定する。
( 3 ) ステップ S 5 4 において、 最大分散ルー トを検出する。
最大の残留分散値をもつルー トは、 リ ング内の最小分散スパンであるスパン # 4を除いたスパン # 1, # 2 , # 3 と経由するルー トになる。
( 4 ) ステップ S 5 6 において、 最大分散ルー ト内の最大分散スパン # yを 検出する。 ( 1 ) よ り最大分散スパンはスパン # 1 となる。 すなわち、 最大分散 ルー ト内の最大分散スパンに分散補償器が配置される。 その分散量は以下のよう にして計算される。
( 5 ) ステップ S 5 8 において、 スノ ン # 1 に一 Δ =— 5 0 [ p s / n m] の分散補償量を追加する。 分散補償刻み幅 Δずつ追加するのは、 分散補償器の種 類を減少させて在庫を減らすためである。
( 6 ) ステップ S 6 0において、 全ルー トの R Dが分散 ト レランスを満たす か否かを判定する (分散 トレランス判定 2 ) 。 分散 トラレンスを満たす場合は、 終了する。 分散 ト レランスを満たさない場合は、 ステップ S 6 2に進む。
例えば、 最大分散ルー ト の累積分散値 @ c h 4 0 = 1 8 X ( 3 0 + 2 8 + 2 5 ) - 5 0 X 8 3 / 8 0 = 1 4 4 2 [ p s / n m] となり分散 ト レランスを満た さない。
( 7 ) 最大分散スパン # 1の R Dが一定範囲内、 例えば、 閾値内であるか否 かを判定する。 閾値内であれば、 ステップ S 5 4に戻る。 閾値内でなければ、 ス テツプ S 5 8に戻る。 閾値を設けたのは、 R Dの下限を設けずに累積分散値を小 さくする と、 ルー 卜の累積分散値が分散 ト レランスの下限よ り も小さ く なる恐れ があるからである。
例えば、 チヤープー 1であれば、 分散 ト レランスがー 1 0 0〜十 8 0 0 p s / n mであり、 下限の絶対値が小さいことから、 閾値 = Δ、 0 ≤ R D≤ A とする。 スノ ン # 1 の R D @ c h 4 0 = 1 8 X 3 0— 5 0 X 8 3 / 8 0 = 4 8 8 [ p s / n m] なので閾値外である。
( 8 ) 以下同様に、 最大分散スパンと してスパン # 1 を選択し全ルー 卜が分 散 ト レランスを満たすまで一 Λを追加する。
( 9 ) スパン # 1 に合計で一 5 0 0 [ p s / n m ] を追加したとき、 最大分散ルー ト の累積分散値 @ c h 4 0 = 1 8 X ( 3 0 + 2 8 + 2 5 ) 一 5 0 0 X 8 3 / 8 0 = 9 7 5 [ p s /n m] となるので、 分散 ト レランスは満たせな レ、。 このと き、

( 1 0 ) 最大分散スパン # 1 の平均分散値は分散補償後のものと して、 最大 分散ルー トを再検索する。 スパン # 1 の平均分散値は分散補償後に 1 0 [ p s / n m] になっているので、 最大分散ルー トはスパン # 2, # 3 , # 4 と経由する ノレ一卜になる。

となるので、 最大分散スパンのスパン # 2に分散補償量を追加する。 一 2 5 0 [ s / n m ] を追加すると、 本ルー トの累積分散値 @ c h 4 0 = 1 8 X ( 2 8 + 2 5 + 5 ) - 2 5 0 X 8 3 / 8 0 = 7 8 5 [ p s / n m] となり、 全ルー ト力 S 分散 ト レランスを満たすこ とになる。 尚、 本例では、 c h 1 の累積分散値がプラ スになるこ とは明らかなので分散 ト レランスの下限値の判定を省略している。 以上よ り、 図 5に示したリ ングネッ トワークにおいて、 スパン # 1 に一 5 0 0 , スパン # 2に一 2 5 0 [ p s / n m] の分散補償量の分散補償器が配置される。 つま り、 従来では、 スパン # 1, # 2 , # 3 , # 4に、 それぞれ、 一 4 0 0 , — 3 5 0 , — 3 0 0 , — 5 0 [ p s / n m] の分散補償量が必要であったことから、 合計で分散補償量を少なく でき、 分散補償器の数も 4個から 2個に減らすことが できる。
第 2実施形態
図 6は本発明の第 2実施形態による光伝送ネッ トワークを示す図である。 ここ では、 簡単のために全 4ノードのリニアネッ トワークを示している。 ここでは、 光ネッ 卜ワークの前提条件は以下である。

( 3 ) ステップ S 5 4 において、 最大分散ルー トを検出する。
最大の残留分散値をもつルー トは、 スパン # 1 , # 2 , # 3 と経由するルー ト になる。
( 4 ) ステップ S 5 6 において、 最大分散ルー ト内の最大分散スパン # yを 検出する。 ( 1 ) よ り最大分散スパンはスパン # 1 となる。 すなわち、 最大分散 ルー 卜内の最大分散スパンに分散補償器が配置される。 その分散量は以下のよ う にして計算される。

第 3実施形態
図 7は本発明の第 3実施形態による光伝送ネッ トワークを示す図である。 伝播 距離が短いスパンが連続する場合や分散シフ トファイバ等のよ う に伝送路の分散 係数の小さい場合、 合分波器等のよ うに負の分散をもつ部品を使用する場合など、 累積分散値が分散 ト レランスの下限を下回る可能性がでてく る。 本実施形態はこ のような場合にも対応できるものである。 ここでは、 簡単のために全 4 ノー ドの リ ングネッ トワークを示している。 光伝送ネッ トワークの前提となるパラメータ は以下の通りである。

図 8は分散補償器配置計算を示すフローチヤ一トである。 このフローチャー ト は、 分散 ト レランスの下限を満たすよ うに考慮されたものであり、 ステップ S 1 0 2〜ステップ S 1 1 6までの M a i nにステップ S 1 0 4 , S 1 1 4で分散 卜 レランスの下限を満たすか否かの判定を行い、 ステップ S 2 0 0〜 S 2 0 6まで の S u b Aのフローとステップ S 2 5 0〜 S 2 5 4までの S u b B力 らなる フロ一で分散 ト レランスの下限を満たすための計算を行う。 図 7に示すリ ングネ ッ トワークの分散補償器の配置及び分散補償量計算は図 8 のフローチャー トが示 すプログラムを具備した図 2 と同様に構成される分散補償器配置計算装置によ り 自動により又は図 8に示すフローチャー トに従って手によ り計算されたものであ る。

( 4 ) ステップ 2 0 0において、 最小分散スパン # Xを検出する。 ( 1 ) よ り最小分散スパン # Xはスパン # 2 となる。
( 5 ) ステップ S 2 0 2において、 スパン # 2に Δ = + 5 0 [ p s / n m] を追加する。
( 6 ) ステップ S 2 0 4において、 全ルー トの累積残留分散が分散 トレラン スを満たすかどうかを判定する (分散 ト レランス判定 3 ) 。 全ルー トの累積残留 分散が分散 ト レランスを満たす場合は終了する。 累積残留分散が分散 ト レランス を満たさないルー トがあれば、 ステップ S 2 0 6に進む。

本例は S u b Aの場合を示したが、 S u b Bのみ経由する場合、 S u b A及ぴ S u b Bを経由する場合も考えられる。 S u b Bを経由するフローに ついて以下に説明する。
ステップ S 2 0 6において、 分散 ト レランスの下限を満たさない否かを判定す る。 分散 トレランスの下限を満たない場合は、 ステップ S 2 0 0に戻り、 分散補 償値後のスパンの残留分散値を平均分散値にして、 最小分散スパンを検出する。 分散 ト レランスの下限を満たす場合は、 ステップ S 1 0 6に進む。 ステップ S 1 0 6 , S 1 0 8 , S 1 1 0 , S 1 1 2におレ、て、 図 4 中のステップ S 5 4, S 5 6 , S 5 8 , S 6 0 と同様の処理を行う。 ステップ S 1 1 4において、 下限のみ 分散 卜 レランスを満たさないかどう かを判定する。 下限のみ分散 卜 レランスを満 たさない場合は、 ステップ S 2 5 0に進み、 S u b Bの処理を行う。 上限及び 下限の分散 トラレンスを満たさない場合は、 ステップ S 1 1 6に進み、 図 4中の ステップ S 6 2 と同様の処理を行う。 .
ステップ S 2 5 0において、 最小分散スパン # zの検出をする。 最小分散スパ ンの分散補償量を減らして分散 ト レランスの下限を満たすためである。 ステップ S 2 5 2において、 最小分散スパン # z から一 Λを削除 (+ Δ追加) する。 ステ ップ S 2 5 4において、 全ルー 卜の累積残留分散が分散 トレランスを満たすかど うかを判定する (分散 ト レランス判定 4 ) 。 全ルー トの累積残留分散が分散 ト レ ランスを満たす場合は終了する。 累積残留分散が分散 卜レランスを満たさないル — 卜があれば、 ステップ S 2 5 0に戻り、 分散補償値後のスパンの残留分散値を 平均分散値にして、 最小分散スパンを検出する。
以上よ り、 図 7に示したリ ングネッ トワークにおいて、 最小分散スパン # 2に、 分散補償量 + 5 0 [ p s / n m ] を追加する分散補償を行う と、 分散 ト レランス を満足する。 これにより、 分散 ト レランスの下限を満たさない場合にも対応でき る。
図 9は分散補償器配置計算フローチャー 卜の他の一例を示す図であり、 図 8中 の実質的に同一のステップには同一の符号を附している。 S U B Aのステップ S 2 6 0において、 + Δを追加したスパンのフラグ = ;! とする。 M a i nのステ ップ S 2 6 2において、 フラグ = 1 のスパンを除く対象スパンとなる最大分散ス パンが無ければ、 処理を終了すること、 S u b Bのステップ S 2 6 4において、 フラグ = 1 を除く対象スパンとなる最小分散スパンが無い場合は処理を終了する ことによ り、 再び分散 トレランスの下限を満たさないよ うにすることを追加した。 これによ り S u B Aで + Δを追加したスパンに M a i nで一 Δを追加して再び 分散 トレランスの下限を満たさなく なることを防止できる。
第 4実施形態
図 1 0 A及ぴ図 1 0 Bは本発明の第 4実施形態による光伝送ネッ トワークを示 す図である。 図 2 5に示したよ う に、 チヤープによって、 分散 ト レランスが変わ る。 すなわち、 チヤープがマイナスの時は分散 ト レランスがプラス側に、 チヤ一 プがプラスの時は分散 ト レランスがマイナス側にシフ トする。 つま り、 伝送路分 散係数はプラスであることから、 チヤープがマイナスのときは、 プラスの分散 ト レランスが大きく なることから分散補償量を少なく できる。 一方、 チヤ一プがプ ラスのときは、 非線形効果と打ち消しあう方向に働く ので、 等価的に分散 ト レラ ンスが広く なる。 従って、 ネッ トワークによってチヤープを使い分けることが有 効である。
例えば、 比較的短距離のためファイバ光入力が低く 、 非線形効果があま り ない 場合は、 チヤープマイナスと し、 また、 比較的長距離のためファイバ光入力が高 く非線形効果が強い場合は、 チヤーププラスとするこ とが効果的である。
チヤープがマイナスの時は、 マイナス側の分散 ト レランスが狭いので、 残留分 散がプラスになるよ うに分散補償していく ことが有効である。 同様に、 チヤープ がプラスの時は、 プラス側の分散 ト レランスが狭いので、 残留分散がマイナスに なるよ うに分散補償していく ことが有効である。
図 1 0 Aに比較的短距離な光伝送ネッ トワークの一例と してリ ングネッ トヮー クが示されている。 比較的短距離なネッ トワークでは、 チヤープがマイナスとな ることから、 0 ≤スパン # 1, # 2 , # 3, # 4の 厶 と して、 図 4に示し たフローチャー トを適用して分散補儅すると、 ノレ一卜 ACの R Dは、 0 R Dと なり、 分散 ト レランスの下限値を割る可能性は少なく なる。 逆に、 各スパン # 1 , # 2, # 3 , # 4で一 A ^ R D ^ O となるよ うに分散補償したとすると、 分散補 償量は増え、 分散 ト レランスの下限値を割る可能性も出てく る。 但し、 閾値は分 散補償刻み幅 Δではなく、 他の値でも良い。 すなわち、 比較的短距離なネッ トヮ ークでは、 チヤープをマイナスにして、 0≤各スパンの R D≤ A となるよ う に、 分散補償を行う。
図 1 0 Bに比較的長距離な光伝送ネッ トワークの一例と してリ ングネッ トヮー クが示されている。 比較的長距離なネッ トワークでは、 チヤープをプラスにする ことから、 一 Δ≤スパン # 1 , # 2 , # 3 , # 4の R D≤ 0 と して、 図 4に示し たフローチャー トを適用して分散補償する と、 ルー ト ACの RDは、 RD≤ 0 と なり、 分散 ト レランスの上限値を超える可能性は少なく なる。 逆に、 各スパン # 1 , 2 , # 3 , # 4で 0≤ RD≤ Δ となるよう に分散補償したとする と、 分散補 償量は増え、 分散 ト レランスの上限値を超える可能性も出てく る。 但し、 閾値は 分散捕償刻み幅 Δではなく、 他の値でも良い。
従って、 光伝送ネッ トワークのチヤ一プがマイナスの場合、 0≤各スパンの R D≤ Δ , チヤープがプラスの場合、 一 Δ スパンの R D≤ 0になるよ うに分散補 償していく ことによ り、 合計で分散補償 aを少なくでき、 分散補償器の数も減ら すことができる。
図 1 1 は第 4実施形態による分散補償器配置計算のフローチヤ一トである。
( 1 ) 上述したように、 チヤープがマイナスのと き、 分散補償量を減らすこ とができるので、 まず、 ステップ S 3 0 0において、 チヤープをマイナス、 例え ば、 一 1 に設定する。
( 2 ) ステップ S 3 0 2において、 第 1, 2 , 3実施形態と同様にして、 分 散補償器配置計算を行う。
( 3 ) ステップ S 3 0 4において、 分散 ト レランスを満たすか否かを判定す る。 分散 ト レランスを満たす場合は、 ステップ S 3 1 4に進み、 分散補償器配置 計算を終了する。 分散 ト レランスを満たさない場合は、 ステップ S 3 0 6 に進む。
( 4 ) ステップ S 3 0 6 において、 チヤープをプラス、 例えば + 1 に変更 する。
( 5 ) ステップ S 3 0 8において、 第 1 , 2 , 3実施形態と同様にして、 分 散補償器配置計算を行う。
( 6 ) ステップ S 3 1 0において、 分散 ト レランスを満たすか否かを判定す る。 分散 ト レランスを満たす場合は、 ステップ S 3 1 4に進み、 分散補償器配置 計算を終了する。 分散 ト レランスを満たさない場合は、 ステップ S 3 1 2に進む。
( 7 ) ステップ S 3 1 2において、 分散補償器配置不可能である と判断する。 ここでは、 一例と してチヤープをマイナス (一 1 ) とプラス (+ 1 ) と した力 他の値であっても良いし、 また、 例えば、 チヤープを…, 一 1 , — 0. 9 , - 0. 8 , …, — 0. 1 , 0 , + 0. 1 , ···, + 0. 9, + 1. 0 , …の様に連続的に 可変にすることも可能である。
第 5実施形態
図 1 2 A及び図 1 2 Bは本発明の第 5実施形態による光伝送ネッ トワークを示 す図である。 これまでは、 チヤープがマイナス プラスの場合の分散補償につい て説明したが、 チヤープが 0である場合の方が、 チヤープがマイナスノプラスの 場合より も、 ネッ トワーク全体で分散補償器の数を減らすこ とができる場合があ る。 そこで、 本実施形態では、 チヤープがマイナス Zプラスの場合で図 4に示し たフローチャー トを適用して分散補償器配置計算を行った後、 チヤープを 0にし て、 分散補償器配置計算を行う ことによ り、 分散補償器の数を減らすことができ る場合には、 チヤープ 0の分散補償器配置計算結果を採用する。 例えば、 チヤ一 プを 0にし、 チヤ一ブー 1 での分散補償器配置計算結果における 0 外の分散補 償量最小スパンの分散補償量の隣接スパンに分配して分散補償量最小スパンの分 散補償量を 0にして分散補償器を無くすことによ り分散補償器の数を減らそう と するものである。 図 1 2 A, 1 2 Bに示すように、 ノー ド A, B , C , D , E , Fによ り構成さ れたリ ングネッ 卜ワークの場合の分散補償について説明する。 前提条件は以下の 通りである。

( 1 ) ステップ S 3 5 0において、 チヤープを 0以外、 例えば、 チヤープー 1又はチヤープ + 1で分散補償器配置終了後、 分散補償器の数を減らせないもの かどうか検討する。 分散補償器の数が減らせる場合とは、 分散補償量の絶対値が 小さい場合は検討に値する。
( 2 ) ステップ S 3 5 2において、 まず、 チヤープを 0 (厳密に 0でなく と も良い。 チヤ一プが一 1だと分散 ト レランスがマイナス側に狭く、 + 1だとブラ ス側に狭いので、 分散補償器の数を減らし難くなる。 )
( 3 ) ステップ. S 3 5 4において、 分散補償量最小のスパン # a の検出をす る。
( 4 ) ステップ S 3 5 6において、 スパン # aから分散補償器を削除する。
( 5 ) ステップ S 3 5 8において、 全パスグループが分散 ト レランスを満た すか否か、 スパン # a のみのパスグループが分散ト レランスを満たすか否か、 ス パン # aのみを通過するパスグループ以外で、 分散 ト レランスを満たさないパス グループがあるか否かを判定する。 全パスグループが分散 ト レランスを満たす場 合は、 ステップ S 3 7 4に進み、 ステップ S 3 5 0において分散補償配置された 配置計算結果よ り スパン # a の分散補償器を削除した分散補償器配置計算結果を 採用して終了する。 スパン # a のみのパスグループが分散 ト レランスを満たさな い場合、 ステップ S 3 7 0に進み。 スパン # a のみを通過するパスグループ以外 で、 分散ト レランスを満たさないパスグループがある場合は、 ステップ S 3 6 0 に進む。
( 6 ) ステップ S 3 6 0において、 スパン # a から削除した分散補償量をス パン # a の前後又はどちらかのスパンに割り振る.—. 例えば、 できるだけ均等に割 り振る。 また、 前後のスパンに割り振る分散補償 ftは削除した分散補償量と等し く なく ても良い。
( 7 ) ステップ S 3 6 2において、 全パスグループが分散 ト レランスを満た すか否かを判定する。 全パスグループが分散 ト レランスを満たす場合は、 ステツ プ S 3 7 4に進み、 ステップ S 3 5 0において分散補償配置された配置計算結果 よ りスパン # a からは分散補償器を削除し、 スパン # a の前後のスパンに追加し て配分した分散補償量再計算結果を採用して終了する。 分散 ト レランスを満たさ ない場合は、 ステップ S 3 7 2において、 分散補償器を抜く ことは不可であると 判定して、 ステップ S 3 5 0においての分散補償器計算結果を採用する。
( 8 ) ステップ S 3 7 0 において、 スパン # a の分散補償量及びチヤープを 元に戻して、 分散補償器を抜く こ とは不可であると判定する。
第 6実施形
図 1 4 A, 1 4 Bは本発明の第 6実施形態による光伝送ネッ トワークを示す図 である。 光伝送ネッ トワーク システムでは、 アンプの能力の制限等の理由により、 システムの最大ゲインが定められることがある。 したがって、 伝送路や分散補償 器での損失の合計が最大ゲインを越えないことが光伝送ネッ 卜ワークの設計条件 となる。 すなわち、 各スパンの伝送路損失と分散補償器による損失の合計が最大 ゲイン以下となることが設計上必要となってく る。 そこで、 本実施形態では、 最 大ゲインが定められている場合に、 伝送距離を伸ばせるこ とのできる分散補償器 配置計算を行う ものである。

チヤープ一 1 の時は、 スパン # 2に一 4 0 0 [ p s / n m] の分散補償器が必 要となる。
ここで、 スパン # 2では伝送路 S MFが 3 0 k mで損失 7. 5 d B、 分散補償 器 D C Fがー 4 0 0 p s / n m、 損失 5 d B とすると、 スパン # 2の伝送距離を 伸ばしたく ても S MFと D C Fの合計損失が 1 2. 5 d B となるので不可能であ る。 また、 スパン # 1 , # 3は伝送距離が短いことから、 D C Fを挿入する必要 がないし、 D C Fを挿入したと しても、 分散 ト レランスの下限の絶対値が小さい ため、 スパン # 2の伝送距離を伸ばすには効果的ではない。 このよ う に、 チヤ一 プ一 1 では、 ルー 卜 B Cの伝送距離を伸ばしたいにも拘らず伸ばすことができな レ、。
一方、 チヤープ 0 とする と、 伝送距離の短いスパン # 1 , # 3を過補償にする ことができる。 過補償とは、 スパンの残留分散量マイナスにすることをいう。 例 えば、 チヤープが 0のとき、 分散 ト レランスは一 6 0 0〜十 6 0 0 p s Zn m程 度となり、 下限の絶対値がチヤープ一 1 よ り も大きいからである。 このとき、 ル ー ト AB , B C, CD, AC, B Dがそれぞれ分散 ト レランスを満たすよう に、 スパン # 2の D C Fによる分散補償量をスパン # 1 とスパン # 3に移動する。 こ れによって、 スパン # 2の D C Fの損失分が減るので、 スパン # 2の伝送路を伸 ばすことができる。 例えば、 図 1 4 Bに示すよ うに、 スパン # 1 , # 3に一 2 0 0 [ p s / n m] ずつ移動すると、

となり、 それぞれ分散 ト レランスを満たすので、 図 1 4 Bに示すよ うに、 スパン # 2の伝送距離を 3 3 k mに伸ばすことができる。 図 1 4 A, 1 4 Bでは、 S M F , D C Fの順であるが、 逆でも良い。 また、 D C Fの損失は分散補償量に依存 しているため (分散補償量が大きいほど損失大) 、 スパン # 2の D C Fを無くす ことはできなくても分散補償量を減らすことによ り伝送距離を伸ばすことも可能 である。 このよ う に、 チヤープ 0 にし、 fe送距離を伸ばしたいスパンの分散補償 量を少なく して、 他のスパンにその分を移動することによ り伝送距離を伸ばした いスパンの伝送距離を伸ばすことができる。
図 1 5は、 本発明の第 6実施形態による分散補償器配置計算フローチヤ一卜を 示す図である。 基本的には図 1 3 に示したフローチャー トと同様の手順である。 但し、 分散補償器を削除しなくても、 分散補償量を減らすこ とで、 分散補償器の 損失を削減することは可能である。 ' ( 1 ) ステップ S 4 0 0において、 チヤープを 0以外、 例えば、 チヤープ一
1又はチヤープ + 1で分散補償器配置終了後、 特定スパンの伝送距離を伸ばせな いかどうか検討する。
( 2 ) ステップ S 4 0 2において、 まず、 チヤープを 0 (厳密に 0でなく と も良い。 チヤープが一 1だと分散 ト レランスがマイナス側に狭く 、 + 1 だとブラ ス側に狭いので、 分散補償器、 分散補償量を減ら し難く なる。 )
( 3 ) ステップ S 4 0 4において、 伝送距離を伸ばしたいスパン # bの検出 をする。
( 4 ) ステップ S 4 0 6 において、 スパン # bから分散補償器又は分散補償 量を削除する。 削減する分散補償量は、 伸ばしたい伝送距離と削減前後の分散補 償器の損失、 及び伝送路の損失係数で決まる。 例えば、 5 k m伝送距離を伸ばし たいとする と、 伝送路の損失係数 0 . 2 5 d B / k mのとき、 伝送路損失は 0 . 2 5 X 5 = 1 . 2 5 d B となる。 分散補償量と損失の関係から削減すべき分散補 償量が決まる。
( 5 ) ステップ S 4 0 8において、 全パスグループが分散 トレランスを満た すか否か、 スパン # b のみのパスグループが分散 ト レランスを満たすか否か、 ス パン # bのみを通過するパスグループ以外で、 分散 ト レランスを満たさないパス グループがあるか否かを判定する。 全パスグループが分散 卜レランスを満たす場 合は、 ステップ S 4 2 4に進み、 ステップ 4 2 4において分散補償配置された配 置計算結果よ りスパン # b の分散補償器を削除し、 ステップ S 4 0 0における分 散補償器配置結果よ りスパン # b の分散補償器を削除し、 全パスグループが分散 ト レランス及びシステムゲインを満たすよ うにスパン # b の伝送距離を伸ばす。 スパン # b のみのパスグループが分散 ト レランスを満たさない場合、 ステップ S 4 2 0に進む。 スパン # b のみを通過するパスグループ以外で、 分散 ト レランス を満たさないパスグループがある場合は、 ステップ S 4 1 2に進む。
( 6 ) ステップ S 4 1 0において、 スパン # bから削除した分散補償量をス パン # bの前後又はどちらかのスパンに割り振る。 例えば、 できるだけ均等に割 り振る。 また、 前後のスパンに割り振る分散補償量は削除した分散補償量と等し く なく ても良い。 ( 7 ) ステップ S 4 1 2において、 全パスグループが分散 ト レランスを満た すか否かを判定する。 全パスグループが分散 トレランスを満たす場合は、 ステツ プ S 4 2 4に進み、 ステップ S 4 0 0において分散補償配置された配置計算結果 よ りスパン # bの分散補償器を削除し、 スパン # bの前後のスパンに追加して配 分することによ り、 スパン # bの伝送距離を伸ばし、 全パスグループが分散 トレ ランス及びシステムゲインを満たすようにする。 分散 ト レランスを満たさない場 合は、 ステップ S 4 2 2において、 分散補償器を抜く こと、 及び分散補償量を削 除することは不可であると判定する。
( 8 ) ステップ S 4 2 0において、 スパン # bの分散補償器、 チヤ一プを元 に戻す。 ステップ S 4 2 2において、 分散補償器を抜く こと、 及び分散補償量を 削除することは不可である と判定する。
第 7実施形態 . 図 1 6は本発明の第 7実施形態による分散補償器配置計算装置の構成を示す図 である。 分散補償器配置計算装置は、 光伝送ネッ トワークのノー ドと して使用さ れている光 A D M装置 1 5 0 の受信器で ドロップした光信号を分散測定器 1 5 2 によ り実測した当該光信号の分散値を用いて、 分散補償器配置計算を行う装置で あり、 分散測定器 1 5 2及び分散配置計算装置 1 5 4を具備する。 分散測定器 1 5 2は、 光伝送ネッ 卜ワークのノー ドを構成している光 A D M装置 1 5 0に入力 される各 c hの光信号の分散 [ p s / n m ] を実測して、 分散配置計算装置 1 5 4に出力する。 例えば、 図 5中のノー ド Dに分散測定器 1 5 2を設けたとすると、 ノー ド Dでは、 ノード A, B, C , Dと経由するルー トの分散値 1、 ノー ド B , C , Dと経由するルー トの分散値 2、 ノー ド C, Dと経由するルー トの分散値 3 が測定することができる。
分散配置計算装置 1 5 4は、 図 3 と同様に構成されるが、 図 3中のスパン分散 値算出部 1 1 0のようにスパンの伝送距離と伝送路分散係数とによ りスパンの分 散値を算出するのではなく 、 分散測定器 1 5 2によ り測定したスパンの分散値、 及びこれらの分散値よ り計算によ りスパンの分散値を算出する。 例えば、 分散値 1, 2 よ りスパン # 1 の分散値、 分散値 2 , 3 よ りスパン # 2 の分散値が計算に よ り算出される。 図 3 中の最大分散ルー ト検出部 1 1 4等は測定したスパンの分 散値を元に処理を行う。 そして、 分散補償器配置計算結果を表示装置に出力する。 これによ り、 測定した分散値に従って分散補償器配置計算を正確に行う ことがで きる。
第 8実施形態
図 1 7は本発明の第 8実施形態による分散補償器配置計算装置の構成を示す図 であり、 図 1 6 中の構成要素と実質的に同一の構成要素には同一の符号を附して いる。 分散補償配置計算装置 2 2 0は、 分散測定器 1 5 2によ り実測した分散値 を用いて分散補償器配置計算を行う と と もに、 光伝送ネッ 卜ワークのノードと し て構成されている光 ADM装置 2 0 0内の S W 2 1 2, 2 1 4を制御して、 その 分散補償器配置結果よ り得られる当該ノー ドの分散補償量を調整できるよ うに複 数の分散補償器 2 1 6 # 1 , 2 1 6 # 2, 2 1 6 # 3の中から選択する分散補償 器選択部を図 3 と同様に構成される機能プロック群に加えて有する。 分散補償器 2 1 6 # 1 , 2 1 6 # 2 , 2 1 6 # 3の分散補償量は、 例えば、 + 1 0 0, 0 , 一 1 0 0 [ p s /n m] である。
固定分散補償器 2 1 0は、 実分散値測定前におおよその分散値が分かっている 場合に大まかな分散補償をノード内で行う ものである。 そして、 分散配置計算装 置 2 2 0が計算したノ一 ド 2 0 0の分散補償量から分散補償器 2 1 6 # 1 , 2 1 6 # 2 , 2 1 6 # 3のいずれかを選択することによ り最適な分散補償を行う もの である。 .
第 9実施形態
図 1 8は本発明の第 9実施形態による分散補償器配置計算装置の構成を示す図 であり、 図 1 6 中の構成要素と実質的に同一の構成要素には同一の符号を附して いる。 分散配置計算装置 3 1 0は、 分散測定器 1 5 2によ り実測した分散値を用 いて分散補償器配置計算を行う と ともに、 光伝送ネッ トワークのノー ドと して構 成されている光 ADM装置 3 0 0内の可変分散補償器 3 0 2の分散補償量が分散 補償器配置計算結果よ り得られる当該ノー ドの分散補償量を調整できるよ う可変 分散補偾器 3 0 2を制御する可変分散補償器制御部を図 3 と同様に構成される機' 能ブロック群に追加して有する。 以上説明した本実施形態によれば、 ノー ドに関 わるスパンの分散補償を可変分散補償器によ り正確に行う こ とができる。 第 1 0実施形態
図 1 9は本発明の第 1 0実施形態による光伝送ネッ トワークの分散補償器配置 計算フローチヤ一トである。 このフローチヤ一卜に基づくプログラムを具備する ことにより図 2 と同様に分散補償器配置計算装置を構成することができる。 図 1 O Aに示したよ う に、 チヤープがマイナスのときは、 マイナス側の分散 トラ レン スが狭いので、 残留分散がプラスになるよ うに分散補償してゆくのが有効である。 また、 図 1 0 Bに示したよ うに、 チヤープがプラスのときはプラス側の分散 ト レ ランスが狭いので残留分散がマイナスとなるよ うに分散補償してゆく のが有効で ある。 例えば、 α = _ 1 のとき、 分散補償器のメニュー刻みを Δ = 1 0 0 p s / n mと し、 0≤ RD≤ A となるよ う に、 分散補償する という ものである。
図 2 0は閾値固定の場合の問題点を示す図である。 図 2 0に示す光伝送ネッ ト ワークは、 ノー ド A〜 I の 8個のノー ドによ り構成されたリ ングネッ 卜ワークで ある。 このとき、 ルー ト A B, B C , C D, D F , E F , F G , GH, H I の各 スパン # 1 , # 2, # 3 , # 4, # 5, # 6 , # 7 , # 8の RD = A = 1 0 0 p s / n mとなつた場合は、 計 8 0 0 p s /n mもの分散補償残差が累積すること になる。 つまり、 本例では、 この残差だけで分散 ト レランスを満たせなく なって しま う。 これは極端な例にしても、 補償残差が累積することにより少なく と も相 対的に分散 ト レランスが狭くなつてしま う。 そこで、 本実施形態では、 スパンの 補償残差を保持しておき、 次のスパンにおける閾値を、 補償残差をベースに選択 するものと している。 以下、 図 1 9のフローチャー トに基づいて、 本実施形態の 分散補償器配置計算の説明をする。 図 1 9に示すフローチャー トは、 図 4に示す フローチャー トにステップ S 3 1 8に示す補償残差保持及び保持した補償残差を 元にステツプ S 3 1 4に示す閾値選択が付加されている。
( 1 ) ステップ S 4 5 0〜ステップ S 4 6 0までの処理は、 図 4 中のステツ プ S 5 0〜ステップ S 5 8 と同様である。
( 2 ) ステップ S 4 6 2において、 保持した補償残差をベースに閾値選択を する。 例えば、 あるスパンについて保持した補償残差が Δに等しいと き、 次の処 理における閾値-一 Δ とする。
図 2 0に示す光伝送ネッ トワークにおいて、 スパン # 1 , # 2の順に分散補償 器計算が行われたものとすると、 スパン # 1の補償残差が 1 0 0 p s /n mだつ たら、 次のスパン # 2の補償残差が、 一 5 0≤ R D≤ 0 となるよ うにして、 補償 残差ができるだけ累積しないよう にする。
( 3 ) ステップ S 4 6 4において、 図 4中のステップ S 6 2 と同様の処理を 行う。 ステップ S 4 6 6において、 そのスパンの補償残差を保持してから、 ステ ップ S 4 5 4に戻る。
以上説明した本実施形態によれば、 補償残差を保持しておき、 次のスパンの閾 値を保持しておいた補償残差をベースに選択するので、 補償残差の累積を防止す ることができて、 補愤残差が累積するこ とによる相対的に分散 トレランスが狭く なってしま う ことを防止できる。
第 1 1実施形態
図 2 1 は本発明の第 1 1実施形態による分散補償器 4 0 0の構成を示す図であ る。 光ネッ トワークを示す図である。 図 2 4に示したように、 分散補償器による 分散補償を順次行っていく と、 分散スロープの影響によ り、 ターゲッ トの残留分 散値を目標値と しても、 例えば、 図 2 4に示したよ う に長波長側の c hの残留分 散値と短波長側の c hの残留分散値との差が大きく なり補償残差が発生していく こと となる。 これも各スパンで起こるため累積し、 特に長いルー トでは相対的に 分散 ト レランスを狭めてしまう こ と となる。 スロープ補儍率が 1 0 0 %の分散補 償器を実現することは困難であるため、 分散補償器 4 0 0を必要に応じて、 ター ゲッ 卜のチャネルの残留分散値が目標値となるよ う分散補償をする残留分散補償 器 4 0 2 と、 残留分散補償器 4 0 2の残留分散値が最大と最小の幅が狭く なるよ うに分散補惯器 4 0 0のスロープ率を補償する分散スロープ補償器 4 0 4 とで構 成する。
例えば、 分散 ト レランスが一 1 0 0〜 8 0 0 p s / n mである と して、 残留分 散補償器 4 0 2による分散補償後の残留分散値の幅を R D 1 とする。 残留分散補 償器 4 0 2によ り分散補償された光信号をスロープ補償器 4 0 4によ りスロープ 補償すると、 ス ロープ補償後の残留分散値の幅を R D 2 とすると、 R D 2はスロ ープ補償前の R D 1 よ り も狭く なり、 補償残差を小さ くすることができ、 分散 ト レランスが相対的に狭まることを抑制している。 以上説明した本実施形態によれば、 スロープ補償器によ り残留分散補償器によ るスロープを補償するので、 補償残差を小さくするこ とができ、 分散 ト レランス が相対的に狭まることを抑制できる。
第 1 2実施形態
図 2 2は本発明の第 1 2実施形態による分散補償器配置計算における閾値の設 定方法を示す図である。 チヤープがどんな値の場合でも良いが、 ここでは、 チヤ ープがマイナスの場合を例に説明する。 チヤープがー 1 のとき分散 ト レランスを - 1 0 0 p s / n m〜+ 8 0 0 p s / n m、 分散補償箇所を 8箇所とする。 本方 式では、 最大で閾値分の残留分散が各スパンに残ることになる。 また、 残量分散 がマイナス側の分散 ト レラ ンスは狭い。 従って、 全スパンで閾値分の残留分散か が残ったと しても、 分散 ト レランス内に収まるよ うに、 閾値を設定すれば良い。 すなわち、 分散 ト レランスの上限値を分散補償箇所で割れば良い。 例えば、 図 2 2に示すよ うに、 + 8 0 0ダ 8 = + 1 0 0 と して、 各スパンの残留分散を最大 1 0 0 p s / n m以下に抑えれば、 最大分散ルー 卜で分散 ト レランスを満たすこ と ができる。 実際には分散のバラツキ、 波長間の分散の偏差などを考慮して、 分散 ト レランスに収まるよ うにする。
第 1 3実施形態
図 2 3 A, 図 2 3 Bは本発明の第 1 3実施形態による光伝送ネッ トワークを示 す図である。 第 5, 6実施形態では、 全パスでチヤープが同じと想定していた力 S、 チヤ一プをパス毎に切替える力 、 可変にすることによ り、 ネッ トワーク全体で更 に柔軟に分散捕償器の数を減らしたり、 伝送距離を伸ばしたりするこ とが可能で ある。 具体的には、 第 5 , 6実施形態に比べて更に多くの分散補償量を他のスパ ンにまとめることが可能となる。

( 1 ) ステップ S 5 0 0において、 分散補償器配置終了する。 ステップ S 5 0 2 において、 伝送距離を伸ばしたいスパン、 分散補償器を削除したいスパン
(分散補償量の比較的小さなスパン) を抽出する。 抽出したスパンをスパン # c とする。

( 3 ) ステップ S 5 0 6において、 全パスグループが分散ト レランスを満た すか否かを判定する。 全パスグループが分散 ト レランスを満たす場合は、 ステツ プ S 5 1 8 に進み終了する。 分散 トレランスを満たさないパスグループがある場 合は、 ステップ S 5 0 8に進む。
( 4 ) ステップ S 5 0 8において、 分散 ト レランスを満たさないパスグルー プがある場合は、 スパン # cから削除した分散補償量をスパン # cの前後のスパ ンに割り振る。 (例えば、 分散補償器の数が少なく なるよう に割り振る。 また、 前後のスパンに割り振る分散補償量は削除した分散補償量と等しく なく ても良 い。 )
( 5 ) ステップ S 5 1 0において、 全パスグループの残留分散値を算出する。 ( 6 ) ステップ S 5 1 2において、 パスグループ毎に残留分散値に応じて、 分散 ト レランスを満たすよ うにチヤープを選択する。
( 7 ) ステップ S 5 1 4において、 全パスグループが分散 ト レランスを満た すか否かを判定する。 全パスグループが分散 ト レランスを満たす場合は、 ステツ プ S 5 1 8 に進み終了する。 分散 ト レランスを満たさないパスグループがある場 合は、 ステップ S 5 1 6に進む。
( 8 ) ステップ S 5 1 6において、 分散補償器又は分散補儍量を削減し伝送 距離を伸ばすことは不可能と判断する。
変形例と して以下のものがある。 ( 1 ) 本実施形態では、 チヤ一プの例と して、 一 1 , 0 , + 1 をあげている が、 例えば、 一 0 . 7 , + 0. 7等の中間や, それ以外でも勿論良い。
( 2 ) リ ングネッ トワークにおいて、 最大分散ルー トをリ ング 1周ルー ト と して分散補償を行う。 通常はリ ングを 1周するパスを設定する必要がないが、 試 験時等に使用する可能性がある。
( 3 ) 同一ルー ト内において、 c h (波長) ごとに再生器の入る場所が異な る場合がある。 そのため、 同一ルー トにおいても c hによってパス長が異なる。 そこで、 同一ルー ト内の最長のパスをベースに分散補償器を配置していく ことが 有効となる。
( 4 ) リ ングネッ トワークの最大分散ルー トは 「最小分散スパンを除いたル ー ト」 であったが、 プロテクショ ンを使用しない場合や特殊な運用形態によって はこの限りではない。
( 5 ) 分散補償器は各ノー ド、 伝送路途中の中継器、 またはその両方に備え るよ うにしても良い。 産業上の利用可能性
以上説明した本発明によれば、 従来方式に比べて、 分散補償量、 分散補償器数 を減らすことができる。 また、 システムにより必要な光アンプの要求特性を緩和 することができコス トが削減できる。 更に、 伝送距離を伸ばすことができる。

Claims

請 求 の 範 囲
1 . 光伝送ネッ トワークであって、
分散補償前の分散値が分散 ト レランスの上限を満たさない非再生区間のルー ト の中で最大分散値をもつ最大分散ルー 卜内で検索された最大分散値を持つ最大分 散スパンに配置された第 1分散補償器と、
検索された最大分散スパンについては分散補償後の分散値に従って、 前記分散 ト レランスを満たさない非再生区間のルー 卜がなく なるまで分散補償器を配置し ていったとき、 該ルー トの中で最大分散値をもつ最大分散ルー ト内で検索された 最大分散値を持つ最大分散スパンに配置された第 2分散補償器とを具備し、 前記第 1及び第 2分散補償器の分散補償量は、 前記第 1及び第 2分散補償器が 配置される最大分散スパンの分散補償量を増やしていったとき、 該スパンの残留 分散値が一定範囲より も大きく且つ該スパンに関わる最大分散ルー トの残留分散 値が前記分散 トレランスを満たすか若しく は該スパンの残留分散値が前記一定範 囲内であることを特微とする光伝送ネッ トワーク。
2 . 前記光伝送ネッ トワークは光リ ングネッ トワークであり、 前記第 1及び第 2分散補償器の分散補償量は単位量の整数倍であることを特徴とする請求項 1記 载の光伝送ネッ 卜ワーク。
3 . 前記光伝送ネッ 卜ワークは光リニアネッ トワークであり、 前記第 1及ぴ第 2分散補償器の分散補償量は単位量の整数倍であることを特徴とする請求項 1記 載の光伝送ネッ トワーク。
4 . 前記分散 ト レランスの下限を満たさない非再生区間のルー トの最小分散ス パンに対して、 単位量ずつ分散補償量を減らす、 又は単位量ずつ正の分散補償量 を追加する操作を該スパンが前記分散 ト レランスの下限を満たすまで繰り返すこ とによ り得られた分散補償量を有する分散補償器が前記最小分散スパンに配置さ れていることを特徴とする請求項 2又は 3記載の光伝送ネッ 卜ワーク。
5 . 前記光伝送ネッ トワークはリ ングネッ トワークであり 、 リ ングにおいて 1 周するパスが前記最大分散ルー トであるこ とを特徴とする請求項 1記載の光伝送 ネッ ト ワーク。
6 . 前記チヤープがマイナスであるとき、 前記一定範囲の下限値はゼロである ことを特徴とする請求項 1記載の光伝送ネッ トヮ一ク。
7 . 前記チヤープがプラスであるとき、 前記一定範囲の上限値はゼロであるこ とを特徴とする請求項 1記載の光伝送ネッ トワーク。
8 . 前記最大分散スパンの残留分散値に基づいて、 次の最大分散ルー トの最大 分散スパンについての前記一定範囲を選択して計算された分散補償量の分散補償 器を具備することを特徴とする請求項 1記載の光伝送ネッ ト ワーク。
9 . 前記第 1及び前記第 2分散補償器の少なく と も一つの分散補償器は、 残留 分散器とス ロープ補償器とを有し、 前記残留分散補償器はターゲッ トチャネルに おいて該分散補償器が配置されるスパンの前記分散補償量で分散補償し、 前記ス ロープ補償器は前記残留分散補償器の残留分散最大チャネルと最小チャネルとの 幅を縮小することを特徴とする請求項 1記載の光伝送ネッ トワーク。
1 0 . 前記各非再生区間のルー トは非再生区間が最長のチャネルのルー トであ ることを特徴とする請求項 1記載の光伝送ネッ トワーク。
1 1 . 前記一定範囲は、 0以上から閾値以下であるか、 又は閾値以上から 0以 下、 又は第 1閾値以上から第 2閾値以上の範囲であることを特徴とする請求項 1 記載の光伝送ネッ トワーク。
1 2 前記閾値又は前記第 1及び第 2閾値は、 分散 ト レランスの上限値又は下限 値に配分した結果に基づいて求められた値であることを特徴とする請求項 1 1記 載の光伝送ネッ トワーク。
1 3 . 第 1及び第 2分散補償器は、 ノー ド又は伝送路途中の中継器、 またはノ 一ド及ぴ中継器に配置されていることを特徴とする請求項 1記載の光伝送ネッ ト ワーク。
1 4 . 光伝送ネッ ト ワークであって、
前記光伝送ネッ 卜ワークに配置されている分散補償器を除いて構成される、 前 記光伝送ネッ トワークの第 1 チヤープよ り も小さい第 2チヤ一プの第 2光伝送ネ ッ ト ワーク に、
分散補償前の分散値が前記第 2チヤープである ときの分散 トレランスの上限を 満たさない非再生区間のルー 卜の中で最大分散値をもつ最大分散ルー ト内で検索 された最大分散値を持つ最大分散スパンに第 1分散補償器を配置し、 検索された最大分散スパンについては分散補償後の分散値に従って、 前記分散 ト レランスを満たさない非再生区間のルー トがなく なるまで分散補償器を配置し ていったとき、 該ルー 卜の中で最大分散値をもつ最大分散ルー ト内で検索された 最大分散値を持つ最大分散スパンに第 2分散補償器を配置し、
前記第 1及び第 2分散補償器の分散補償量は、 前記第 1及び第 2分散補償器が 配置される前記最大分散スパンの分散補償量を増やしていったとき、 該スパンの 残留分散値が一定範囲よ り も大き く且つ該スパンに関わる最大分散ルー 卜の残留 分散値が前記分散 トレランスを満たすか若しく は該スパンの残留分散値が前記一 定範囲内となるものであり 、
前記光伝送ネッ トワークは、 前記第 2伝送ネッ トワークに配置された前記第 1 及び第 2分散補償器の中で分散補償量が最小の前記第 1又は第 2分散補償器が配 置されるスパンの分散補償量がゼ口であり、 全ルー トが前記第 1チヤープでの分 散 トレランスを満たすことを特徴とする光伝送ネッ ト ワーク。
1 5 . 前記光伝送ネッ トワークは、 前記分散補償量が最小の前記第 1又は第 2 分散補償器が配置されるスパンの分散補償量が該スパンの前後のスパンに振り分 けられているこ とを特徴とする請求項 1 2記載の光伝送ネッ トワーク。
1 6 . 光伝送ネッ トワークであって、
前記光ネッ 卜ワークの第 1チヤ一プよ り も小さい第 2チヤ一プの第 2光伝送ネ ッ ト ワークに、
分散補償前の分散値が前記第 2チヤープにおける分散 ト レランスの上限を満た さない非再生区間のルー 卜の中で最大分散値をもつ最大分散ルー ト内で検索され た最大分散値を持つ最大分散スパンに第 1分散補償器を配置し、
検索された最大分散スパンについては分散補償後の分散値に従って、 前記分散 トレランスを満たさない非再生区間のルー 卜がなく なるまで分散補儅器を配置し ていったとき、 該ルー 卜の中で最大分散値をもつ最大分散ルー ト内で検索された 最大分散値を持つ最大分散スパンに第 2分散補償器を配置し、
前記第 1及び第 2分散補償器の分散補償量は、 前記第 1及び第 2分散補償器が 配置される前記最大分散スパンの分散補償量を増やしていったとき、 該スパンの 残留分散値が一定範囲よ り も大き く且つ該スパンに関わる最大分散ルー 卜の残留 分散値が前記分散 ト レランスを満たし、 若しくは該スパンの残留分散値が前記一 定範囲内となるものであり 、
前記光伝送ネッ トワークは、 前記第 2伝送ネッ トワークの中で伝送距離を伸ば したいスパンの分散補償量がゼロであるか又は該スパンが前記第 2光伝送ネッ ト ワークにおいて配置されている前記第 1及び第 2分散補償器の分散補償量よ り も 少なく、 全ルー トが前記第 1 チヤープでの分散ト レランスを満たすこ とを特徴す る光伝送ネッ I、 ワーク。
1 7 . 光伝送ネッ トワークは、 前記伝送距離を伸ばしたいスパンの前記第 2光 伝送ネッ 卜ワークにおける分散補償量が当該スパンの前後のスパンに振り分けら れていることを特徴とする請求項 1 6記載の光伝送ネッ トワーク。
1 8 . 光伝送ネッ トワークであって、
前記チヤ一プが第 1チヤープで一定の第 2光伝送ネッ トワークに、
分散補償前の分散値が前記第 1 チヤープにおける分散 トレランスの上限を満た さない非再生区間のルー 卜の中で最大分散値をもつ最大分散ルー ト内で検索され た最大分散値を持つ最大分散スパンに第 1分散補償器を配置し、
検索された最大分散スパンについては分散補償後の分散値に従って、 前記分散 卜 レランスを満たさない非再生区間のルー 卜がなく なるまで分散補償器を配置し ていったとき、 該ルー 卜の中で最大分散値をもつ最大分散ルー ト内で検索された 最大分散値を持つ最大分散スパンに第 2分散補償器を配置し、
前記第 1及び第 2分散補儅器の分散補償量は、 前記第 1及び第 2分散補償器が 配置される前記最大分散スパンの分散補償量を増やしていったとき、 該スパンの 残留分散値が一定範囲よ り も大き く且つ該スパンに関わる最大分散ルー 卜の残留 分散値が前記分散 ト レランスを満たし、 若しく は該スパンの残留分散値が前記一 定範囲内となるものであり、
前記光伝送ネッ トワークは、 前記第 2光伝送ネッ ト ワークの中で伝送距離を伸 ばしたいスパン又は分散補償器を削除したいスパンの分散補惯器が削除又は分散 補償量が削減されており、 前記第 1チヤープと異なる第 2チヤープのルー トを有 するこ とを特徴する光伝送ネッ トワーク。
1 9 . 光伝送ネッ 卜ワークに分散補償器を配置する分散補償器配置計算装置で あって、
各スパンの分散値を算出するスパン分散値算出部と、
分散値が分散 ト レランスの上限を満たさない非再生区間のルー 卜について、 分 散補償量の計算済みのスパンについては分散補償後の分散値、 それ以外のスパン については前記スパン分散値算出部によ り算出された分散値に基づいて、 最大の 分散値をもつ最大分散ルー トを検出する最大分散ルー 卜検出部と、
前記最大分散ルー ト内の最大分散スパンを検出する最大分散スパン検出部と、 前記最大分散スパンを第 1分散補償量で分散補償したとき、 前記最大分散ルー 卜の分散補儘後の残留分散値が前記分散 ト レランス以内であるかを判定する分散 トレランス判定部と、
前記最大分散スパンの分散補償量による残留分散値が一定範囲より も大きく且 つ前記該分散補償量を前記第 1分散補償量と したとき前記残留分散値が前記分散 レランス判定部によ り前記分散ト レランス以内である と判定されたときの該分散 補償量若しく は前記残留分散値が前記一定範囲内となる分散補償量を計算する分 散補償量計算部とを具備し、
前記最大分散ルー ト検出部、 前記分散 ト レランス判定部及び前記分散補償量計 算部は前記分散 卜 レランスを満たさない非再生区間のルー 卜がなくなるまで繰り 返して処理をすることを特徴とする分散補償器配置計,算装置。
2 0 . 前記光伝送ネッ トワークを構成しているノ一ド装置で受信した光信号の 分散を測定する分散測定器を更に具備し、 前記スパン分散値算出部は、 前記分散 測定器によ り測定された分散値に基づいて前記スパンの分散値を算出することを 特徴とする請求項 1 9記載の分散補償器配置計算装置。
2 1 . 前記波長多重光伝送ネッ トワークを構成しており、 第 1 固定分散補償器 と分散補償量の異なる複数の第 2分散補償器とを具備するノー ドで受信した光信 号の分散を測定する分散測定器と前記分散補償量計算部によ り計算された前記ノ 一ドの分散補償量に基づいて前記複数の第 2分散補償器中から最適な分散補償器 を選択する分散補償器選択部とを更に具備し、 前記スパン分散値算出部は、 前記 分散測定器によ り測定された分散値に基づいて前記スパンの分散値を算出するこ とを特長とする請求項 1 9記載の分散補償器配置計算装置。
2 2 . 前記光伝送ネッ トワークを構成しており、 可変分散補償器を具備するノ 一ドの受信器によ り受信した光信号の分散を測定する分散測定器と前記分散補償 量計算部によ り計算された前記ノー ドの分散補償量に基づいて前記可変分散補償 器の分散補償量を制御する可変分散補償器制御部とを更に具備し、 前記スパン分 散値算出部は、 前記分散測定器によ り測定された分散値に基づいてスパンの分散 値を算出することを特長とする請求項 1 9記載の分散補償器配置計算装置。
2 3 . 光伝送ネッ トワークの分散補償器配置計算方法であって、
各スパンの分散値を算出するスパン分散値算出処理と、
分散値がチヤープマイナスのと きの分散 ト レランスの上限を満たさない非再生 区間のルー 卜について、 分散補償量の計算済みのスパンについては分散補償後の 分散値、 それ以外のスパンについては前記スパン分散値算出処理によ り算出され た分散値に基づいて、 最大の分散値をもつ最大分散ルー トを検出する最大分散ル 一ト検出処理と、
前記最大分散ルー ト内の最大分散スパンを検出する最大分散スパン検出処理と、 前記最大分散スパンを第 1分散補償量で分散補償したとき、 前記最大分散ルー 卜の分散補償後の残留分散値が前記分散 トレランス以内であるかを判定する分散 ト レランス判定処理と、
前記最大分散スパンの分散補償量による残留分散値が一定範囲よ り も大きく且 つ前記該分散補償量を前記第 1分散補償量と したとき前記残留分散値が前記分散 レランス判定処理によ り前記分散 ト レランス以内であると判定されたときの該分 散補償量若しく は前記残留分散値が前記一定範囲内となる分散補償量を計算する 分散補償量計算処理とを実行し、 ·
前記最大分散ルー ト検出処理、 前記分散 トレランス判定処理及び前記分散補償 量計算処理を、 前記分散 卜 レランスを満たさない非再生区間のルー 卜がなく なる まで繰り返し実行し、
最小分散スパンの分散補償量をゼロ と して、 該スパンの分散補償量を該スパン の前後のスパンに振り分けることによ り、 全ルー トが前記チヤープマイナスのチ ヤープよ り も大きなチヤープである ときの分散 ト レランスを満たす場合に、 当該 大きなチヤープでの分散補償器配置結果を採用するこ とを特徴とする分散補償器 配置計算方法。
2 4 . 光伝送ネッ トワークの分散補償器配置計算方法であって、
各スパンの分散値を算出するスパン分散値算出処理と、
分散値がチヤープマイナスのときの分散 ト レランスの上限を満たさない非再生 区間のルー 卜について、 分散補償量の計算済みのスパンについては分散補償後の 分散値、 それ以外のスパンについては前記スパン分散値算出処理によ り算出され た分散値に基づいて、 最大の分散値をもつ最大分散ルー 卜を検出する最大分散ル 一ト検出処理と、
前記最大分散ルー ト内の最大分散スパンを検出する最大分散スパン検出処理と、 前記最大分散スパンを第 1分散補償量で分散補償したとき、 前記最大分散ルー 卜の分散補償後の残留分散値が前記分散 ト レランス以内で且つ第 1分散補償量に 基づく損失と該スパンにおける伝送路損失の和が最大システムゲイン以内である かを判定する判定処理と、
前記最大分散スパンの分散補償量による残留分散値が一定範囲よ り も大きく且 つ前記該分散補償量を前記第 1分散補償量と したとき前記残留分散値が前記判定 処理によ り前記分散 ト レランス以内であり且つ第 1分散補償量に基づく損失と該 スパンにおける伝送路損失の和が前記最大システムゲイン以内である と判定され たか若しく は前記残留分散値が前記一定範囲内となる分散補償量を計算する分散 補償量計算処理とを実行し、
前記最大分散ルー ト検出処理、 前記判定処理及び前記分散補償量計算処理を、 前記分散 ト レランスを満たさない非再生区間のルー トがなく なるまで繰り返し実 行し、
最小分散スパンの分散補償量をゼロ と して、 前記スパンの分散補償量に基づく 損失と伝送路損失の和が前記最大システムゲインに近い場合に、 前記チヤープマ ィナスよ り も大きなチヤープにし、 該スパンの分散補償量をゼロ又は削減して、 前後のスパンに振り分けるこ とによ り 、 該スパンの伝送距離を伸ばすことを特徴 とする分散補償器配置計算方法。
2 5 . 光伝送ネッ 卜ワークの分散補償器配置計算方法であって、 各スパンの分散値を算出するスパン分散値算出処理と、
分散値が第 1チヤープで一定のときの分散 ドレランスの上限を満たさない非再 生区間のルー 卜について、 分散補償量の計算済みのスパンについては分散補償後 の分散値、 それ以外のスパンについては前記スパン分散値算出処理によ り算出さ れた分散値に基づいて、 最大の分散値をもつ最大分散ルー トを検出する最大分散 ルー ト検出処理と、
前記最大分散ルー ト內の最大分散スパンを検出する最大分散スパン検出処理と、 前記最大分散スパンを第 1分散補償量で分散補償したとき、 前記最大分散ルー トの分散補償後の残留分散値が前記分散 ト レランス以内で且つ第 1分散補償量に 基づく損失と該スパンにおける伝送路損失の和が最大システムゲイン以内である かを判定する判定処理と、
前記最大分散スパンの分散補償量による残留分散値が一定範囲よ り も大き く且 つ前記該分散補償量を前記第 1分散補償量と したとき前記残留分散値が前記判定 処理によ り前記分散 トレランス以内であり且つ第 1分散補償量に基づく損失と該 スパンにおける伝送路損失の和が前記最大システムゲイン以内である と判定され たか若しく は前記残留分散値が前記一定範囲内となる分散補償量を計算する分散 補償量計算処理とを実行し、
前記最大分散ルー 卜検出処理、 前記判定処理及び前記分散補償量計算処理を、 前記分散 ト レランスを満たさない非再生区間のルー トがなく なるまで繰り返し実 行して分散補償器配置計算を行った後、
伝送距離を伸ばしたいスパン又は分散補償器を削減したいスパンから分散補償 器又は分散補償量を削減して、 削減した当該分散補償量を前後のスパンに配分し、 ルー 卜の残留分散値に基づいてチヤープを選択することを特徴とする分散補償 器配置計算方法。
