Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an antenna device, a card type information medium, and a communication terminal device.
  • an RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) system has been introduced into a communication terminal device such as a mobile phone, and this communication terminal device is sometimes used as a reader / writer or an RFID tag.
  • the communication distance between antenna devices depends on the magnetic flux passing through the coil antenna. That is, in order to secure a certain communication distance between the antenna devices, it is necessary to increase the size of the coil antenna. However, the enlargement of the coil antenna hinders the size reduction of the communication terminal device. For this reason, as a technique for imparting an RFID function to a communication terminal device such as a mobile phone, a technique for securing a predetermined communication distance while reducing the area occupied by the coil antenna has been devised.
  • Patent Document 1 discloses an invention relating to an antenna device for the purpose of securing a predetermined communication distance while reducing the area occupied by a coil antenna.
  • FIG. 14 is a cross-sectional view of the antenna device disclosed in Patent Document 1.
  • the antenna device 211 includes an antenna coil 100 having a coil conductor 22 wound around an insulator core 21, a surface along the winding axis of the coil conductor 22, and two coil openings of the coil conductor 22.
  • the two planar conductors 11A and 11B are provided at the edge portions of which are arranged adjacent (adjacent) to each other.
  • the two planar conductors 11 ⁇ / b> A and 11 ⁇ / b> B act as a booster antenna for the antenna coil 100 by being magnetically coupled to the antenna coil 100. Thereby, while using a small antenna coil, an antenna device having electric characteristics substantially equal to or higher than that of a large antenna coil is realized.
  • the two planar conductors are not close to each other, a large gap is created between the planar conductors, so that the magnetic flux from one of the planar conductors passes through this gap to another major surface. It turns into a small loop. Since the small magnetic flux loop hardly contributes to communication between the antenna devices, the function as a booster antenna is lowered and the communicable distance is lowered.
  • An object of the present invention is to provide an antenna device capable of suppressing a decrease in function as a booster antenna and increasing a communicable distance in a configuration including a planar conductor (booster antenna), a card-type information medium including the antenna device, and It is to provide a communication terminal device.

  • the coil opening that functions as an antenna becomes larger than in the case of only the coil antenna. Therefore, the degree of coupling with the antenna coil on the communication partner side can be increased. Further, since the first planar conductor and the second planar conductor are not close to each other, the magnetic flux generated in the first planar conductor and the second planar conductor becomes a large loop, and the communicable distance can be increased.
  • the magnetic flux that passes between the first planar conductor and the second planar conductor and forms a small loop is obtained. Occurrence is suppressed. That is, the generation of magnetic flux that wraps around from the one principal surface of the first planar conductor to the other principal surface of the first planar conductor is suppressed, and the magnetic flux travels from one principal surface of the second planar conductor to the other principal surface of the second planar conductor. Generation of the magnetic flux to be depressed is suppressed. Therefore, by suppressing the generation of this small magnetic flux loop that hardly contributes to communication, it is possible to suppress a decrease in the function of the first planar conductor and the second planar conductor as a booster antenna and to increase the communicable distance.
