Description
1 Distribution board, especially small distribution board The invention concerns an electric distribution board, in particular a small distribution board, with at least one opening of the housing to pass through 5 connecting wiring. Small distribution boards of this type with integrally formed parts on the base plate are known due to their usage. Tower-like holding parts for a cover protrude from the base plate in particular in the corners of the plate. 10 The present invention provides electric distribution board comprising a housing including: at least one opening for wiring to pass through the distribution board, the at least one opening being arranged such that when the distribution board is 15 installed in a corner of a wall, wiring laid along and in the corner of the wall can be introduced directly into the opening; and a base plate comprising a holding part protruding from a corner of the base plate, the holding part having a cut-out for wiring to pass through. 20 In an advantageous manner it becomes superfluous to guide connecting wiring from the corner of the wall to a passing-through opening centrally provided on the distribution boards, as it was necessary according to the state-of-the-art. In a preferred embodiment of the invention the distribution board has a base plate 25 with part, in particular holding parts, protruding from the base plate, that are so arranged on the base plate that free space is created at one corner of the base plate to lay the connecting wiring entering in the distribution board through the opening of the housing mentioned. 30 At the respective corner of the base plate a utilisable corner region can be formed, free of protruding parts, for the purpose of laying the connecting wiring. In particular a part, particularly a holding part, protruding tower-like from the base plate in the relevant corner of the base plate, is set back from one or both edges 2131254_1 (GMMalers) 1/12/209 2 of the base plate converging at the corner, so that free space to lay the wiring will be available. Alternatively, a part, protruding from the base plate in the relevant corner, or the 5 base plate itself, may have a utilisable cut-out to let the connecting wiring pass through. In an advantageous manner such a cut-out can be formed also in a part set back from the edge of the plate to produce a further free space to lay the connecting 10 wiring and to enable the introduction of the connecting wiring also centrally, for example, into the distribution board housing. In a further development of the invention a channel is formed at least on one side of the distribution board for the purpose of laying the wiring passing through the 15 distribution board. Thus, when installing the distribution board in the corner of the wall, a portion of the wiring, laid in the corner of the wall and not intended to be connected to the small distribution board, can be guided through the distribution board and then further in the corner of the wall. To form the channel, two corner regions, free of parts protruding from the base plate, or two corner regions with 20 parts having the cut-outs mentioned, may be provided. For the purpose of forming the channel and/or the opening of the housing a predetermined breaking position may be formed on the distribution board. In this case one deals particularly with a predetermined breaking line extending parallel 25 to one of the lateral edges of the base plate. Wiring, laid on plaster and running in a corner of the wall over, can be passed through directly through a channel, formed by breaking off an edge region of the base plate. In a useful manner the base plate has a symmetrical construction relative a 30 horizontal plane, so that a single passing-through channel will suffice to install the distribution channel on the right as well as on the left side in a corner of the wall. In a further execution the base plate has two tower-like protruding holding parts to hold a cover, while the holding parts are arranged symmetrically about a central 3 axis of the base plate set back from the lateral edges that are parallel to the central axis. The invention is now explained in detail based on embodiments and the attached 5 drawings that refer to these embodiments. They show in: Fig.1 - a perspective view of a first embodiment for a base plate of a small distribution board according to the invention, 10 Fig.2 - the base plate of Fig.1 in a sectioned side view with switchgear arranged on the base plate, Fig.3 - a top view on a small distribution board, installed in a corner of the wall, with a broken away passing-through channel for wiring, and 15 Fig.4 - a perspective view of a second embodiment of a base plate of a small distribution board according to the invention. A base plate 1, made from plastic material, of an electrical distribution board has 20 openings 2 to 6 for the fastening of the base plate on a wall. In the corners of the plate tower-like holding parts 7 to 10 for connecting wiring protrude from the base plate, of which the holding parts 9 and 10 are set back from the lateral edge 11 of the rectangular base plate. 25 Further tower-like holding parts 12 and 13, supporting the cover against lateral forces, are provided on the base plate symmetrically about a vertical and horizontal central plane each being perpendicular to the base plate 1 for the purpose of fastening a cover (not illustrated), that with its bottom edge rests on the base plate in the vicinity of the edge of the plate and abuts against the holding 30 webs 14 to 16. The cover snaps into the holding webs. Between the holding parts 12 and 13 a holding device 17 is provided with a holding rail 18 constructed in the manner of a top hat rail. On the holding rail 18 4 switchgear 19 can be fastened, as it becomes obvious from Fig.2. There is free space under the holding rail to lay wiring. The reference numeral 20 indicates lugs for the fastening wiring, e.g. cable 5 binders, connected to the distribution board. All parts mentioned, protruding from the base plate, are formed integrally with the base plate 1. The small distribution board described with the base plate 1 can be installed not only at a distance from, but also directly in a corner of the wall, while 10 the lateral edge 11 faces the corner of the wall and abuts against the wall that is perpendicular to the base plate. The arrangement of the parts protruding from the base plate allows to introduce connecting wiring, laid in the corner of the wall, into the distribution housing 15 directly at one corner 22 of the base plate as this is indicated by a dotted line 21, without bringing these wiring out from the corner of the wall. Furthermore, by arranging the parts, protruding from the plate, a channel 23 is formed, that makes it possible to further guide the wiring, laid in the corner of the wall, and not intended to be connected to the respective distribution board, through the 20 distribution board and out of it in corner 29 and then again into the corner of the wall, as this is indicated by the dotted line 24. The parts 9, 10, 13, 14 and 15, protruding from the base plate 1, form on this occasion elements of a vertical cable guide on the edge of the distribution board. 25 A predetermined breaking line may be formed along a dotted line 29. By breaking off the edge portion of the plate limited by the predetermined breaking line, a passing-through channel 23a, shown in Fig.3a, can be formed, that makes it possible to pass wiring 31, laid on plaster in the corner of the wall, through the distribution board without any changes in this position. A cover 32 may have 30 corresponding predetermined breaking positions to form cut-outs for such a passing-through channel.
5 In the embodiment shown in Fig. 4 the same or similarly acting parts are designated by the same reference numerals as in the preceding embodiment, while the letter a is added in each case to the respective reference numeral. 5 In the case of the embodiment of Fig. 4 holding parts 12a and 13a are protruding for a cover from an elongated base plate 1a, said holding parts set back from the longitudinal edges 11a and 11a' of the base plate and provided on its top and bottom end. The holding parts 12a and 13a have on their ends facing the base plate 1a a passing-through cut-out 25 and 26, respectively, to let wiring pass 10 through. A PE or an N clamp 27 can be inserted into an opening 28 in the holding parts. The base plate with the protruding parts is symmetrically constructed about a horizontal and a vertical central plane, each being perpendicular to the base plate. The arrangement of the holding parts 12a and 13a produces free space to lay the connecting wiring past each holding part. Furthermore, passing-through 15 wiring can be laid past both holding parts. In the claims which follow and in the preceding description of the invention, except where the context requires otherwise due to express language or necessary implication, the word "comprise" or variations such as "comprises" or 20 "comprising" is used in an inclusive sense, i.e. to specify the presence of the stated features but not to preclude the presence or addition of further features in various embodiments of the invention. It is to be understood that, if any prior art publication is referred to herein, such 25 reference does not constitute an admission that the publication forms a part of the common general knowledge in the art, in Australia or any other country. 2131258_1 (GHMatters) 1112/2009
