Description
WO 2007/064299 PCT/SG2005/000409 Chokeless sink strainer. Background of the invention 1. Currently, the sink strainers in the market are designed lower than the surface of the sink. See figure 1. 2. This design has a problem. It causes the sink to choke when the residues eventually settle down and cover the strainer. See figure 2. 3. In the new design, the strainer is above the surface of the sink See figure 3. 4. The part that is above surface of the sink will not be covered by the residues and leave behind an outlet for the water to escape and eventually prevent choking the sink. See figure 4. Claims (2)
1. A chokeless sink strainer comprises of feature 1, is the filter (i.e. the area with holes) portion above the surface of the sink that prevents any settlement of residues and leave behind an outlet for the water to escape and feature 2, a trough-like arrangement of the filter (i.e. the area with holes) portion below the surface of the sink that allows settlement of the residues so that the residues will not block up the first feature.
