Description

OGUN~h f091 Australia Patents Act 1990 Innovation Patent Ladder Stabiliser The Invention Is Discribed In The Following Statements 1 Ladder Stabiliser For many years a standard ladder has consisted of wood or steel construction, which is placed against an object such as a building for the purpose of climbing to a higher level. This invention has been specifically designed in order to stabilise a ladder by means of fixing the stabiliser to the ladders legs and securing it to the ground using steel pins or bolting it to hard surfaces by means of solid steel 1 brackets. The ladder stabiliser will be of simple, cheap, effective, strong and solid construction. There will be less possibility of the ladder falling over or sliding from underneath the operator and causing injury. This invention will provide improved stability and safety when using ladders.
2 The ladder stabiliser in accordance with this invention comprises of a steel box section with a adjustable threaded bolt fixed through one side and through a solid steel 1 section that can be secured to hard surfaces such as concrete by means of bolts, the box section will be of such a size that a standard ladders leg will fit into it, the adjustable threaded bolt will be in a position to be tightened onto the ladders leg in a firm and stable manner. On the other side of the steel box section will be a steel tube section positioned in a vertical direction, this will be in a position that a solid steel pin can be hammered or stuck by a force through the steel tube section and fixed firmly into the ground.
3 The ladder stabiliser will be preferably made of steel construction. The invention may be better understood with reference to the illustration of embodiments of the invention which in; figure 1/is a side view of the ladder stabiliser Figure/2 is an arial view of the ladder stabiliser. Figure 3/is a front view of the ladder stabiliser The ladder stabiliser shown is consistent of steel box section adjustable threaded bolt 2,vertical steel tube 3,solid steel fixing pin 4,steel 1 bracket 5.

Claims (2)

  1. 4. The claims defining the invention are as follows. 1.The ladder stabiliser comprising of a steel box section with a threaded adjustable bolt one side and through a solid steel L section that can be secured to hard surfaces such as concrete by means of bolts or fixed to soft surfaces such as earth by means of a vertical steel tube with a solid steel pin through it. 2.The ladder stabiliser as claimed in claim 1,wherein the box section, bolt ,L section , tube and pin are made of steel. 3.The ladder stabiliser according to any claims 1 and 2 wherein the steel box section is fixed firmly to a ladders leg by means of adjustable threaded bolt, weld or clamp. 4.The ladder stabiliser according to any claims 1 ,2 and 3 wherein the steel box section is fixed firmly to a ladders leg by means of adjustable threaded bolt, weld or clamp and also fixed to the ground by means of a solid steel pin through a tubular steel pipe or by bolt fixed through the solid steel L section enabling a standard ladder to be firmly and safely secured to the ground
  2. 5.A ladder stabiliser substantially as herein before described with a reference to figures 1-5 of the accompanying drawings. Ladder Stabiliser Construction Inc. Christopher Paul Mills - 7 march 2009
