Abstract
[Problem] To provide a linking mechanism with which it is possible to link a water leak determining unit to a water meter in a stable condition in order to detect water leaks.
[Solution] A water meter lid which covers a display screen of a water meter is formed from a transparent plate and a water meter head ring which tightens the transparent plate. The water leak determining unit comprises: a main body case inside which electric components are accommodated; a support plate disposed parallel to and facing a bottom surface of the main body case, across a gap, and which is secured to the bottom surface of the main body case across said gap by means of three leg portions which are disposed at equal angles around a vertical centerline, distal ends of the leg portions protruding from a lower surface of the support plate; a sensing portion in which the sound of water leaks is detected by bringing the distal ends of the three leg portions protruding from the support plate into contact with the transparent plate of the water meter; and a guide which is installed in the gap between the bottom surface of the main body case and the support plate, and which hangs down from the bottom surface of the main body case toward the support plate. An acceleration sensor unit is accommodated in the guide, and is positioned and secured in such a way that the acceleration sensor unit is located in the gap. A power supply unit is accommodated in the main body case and is positioned to be parallel to and above the acceleration sensor unit. A circuit board unit is positioned parallel to the power supply unit. The acceleration sensor unit, the power supply unit and the circuit board unit are each secured to the main body case. When inspecting for water leaks, the water leak determining unit is placed on the upper surface of the water meter lid, thereby linking the water leak determining unit to the water meter with the distal ends of the three leg portions making internal contact with the water meter head ring, and the water leak determining unit stands freely on the water meter in a stable condition.
Description
[Field of the Invention]

This invention relates to the connection mechanism between a water service meter and
the leakage-of-water judging machine for carrying out leakage-of-water inspection at
the time of the inspection of a meter of a water service meter, in particular, it relates to
the connection mechanism that can connect a water service meter and a
leakage-of-water judging machine in a stable state and can carry out leakage-of-water
inspection.
[Background of the Invention]

As shown in Fig. 3 (a) and (b), the city water to which water is supplied to a consumer
passes distributing water pipe 32 which branches from water main pipe 31, and this
city water is supplied to the consumer by water supply pipe 33 which branches from
this distributing water pipe 32.
Water service meter 34 is connected to the part which branches to water supply pipe 33
from distributing water pipe 32, and water supply (the amount of the water service
used) can be measured by this water service meter 34.
Up to water service meter 34 from water service main pipe 31 is under jurisdiction of
the Waterworks Bureau, and water supply pipe 33 which is in the consumer side from
water service meter 34 is under jurisdiction of the consumer who is an owner of water
service meter 34.

Water service meter 34 is constructed with stop cock 37 in meter box 35, and meter box
35 is covered with cap object 35a which can be opened and closed freely.
The measured water supply is shown on display surface 34b of indication area 34a of
water service meter 34.
Water service meter cap 34c is attached to this display surface 34b, water service meter
cap 34c is constituted by a transparent plate and water service meter head ring 34e for
binding this transparent plate to water service meter cap 34c, and the transparent
plate is formed by transparent members, such as glass and a synthetic resin, so that
surface may become dirty with neither dust nor mud.
The structure where the upper cap (not shown) was attached to the upper surface of
this water service meter cap 34c free opening and closing is sufficient.

Domestic leakage of water is often generated in the area in which water supply pipes
32 and 33 for supplying city water to each consumer are constructed.
However, since the area where water supply pipe 33 is constructed is private land, even
for leakage-of-water inspection it is impossible to enter private land without
permission.
A water meter reader can enter private land without permission.
Then, leakage-of-water inspection in the area to which the water supply pipe 33 is
constructed is conventionally conducted by the water meter reader at the time of the
inspection of a meter of water service.

In the method of conducting leakage-of-water inspection at the time of the inspection of
a meter of the water service by a water meter reader, there are a method of catching
the leakage-of-water sound (sound vibration) transmitted from a leakage-of-water part
by a sound listening rod, and a method of detecting the leakage-of-water sound
transmitted from a leakage-of-water part by a correlation type leakage of water
detector etc.
In the method of detecting leakage-of-water sound, a correlation type leakage of water
detector etc. for conducting leakage-of-water inspection contact with the transparent
plate which covers display surface 34b of indication area 34a of water service meter 34
to detect the leakage-of-water sound transmitted from a leakage-of-water part.
Moreover, there is also a method of constantly monitoring leakage-of-water by
detecting the specific sound vibration due to the leakage-of-water sound transmitted
from a leakage-of-water part to the water supply pipe 33 and by attaching a
leakage-of-water monitoring device to all the water service meters 34.

As shown in Fig. 4, the device described in patent documents 1 is connected to the
water supply pipe which branched from the distributing water pipe to consumer's
house, and it is attached to water service meter 50 main part which measures water
supply (the amount of the water service used) possible attachment and detachment,
on water service meter cap 52 covered possible opening and closing of measurement
display panel part 51 of this water service meter 50 main part, based on the specific
sound vibration by the leakage-of-water sound detected from the main part of water
service meter 50, it has the leakage-of-water judging device which judges the
possibility of leakage-of-water generating of a water supply pipe, a device to output the
contents of a judgment, and internal-organs power supply 53 which supplies the power
supply of each above-mentioned devices of operation.

[Problem(s) to be Solved by the Invention]

In the case of the method of catching the leakage-of-water sound (sound vibration)
transmitted from a leakage-of-water part by a sound listening rod, and the method of
detecting the leakage-of-water sound transmitted from a leakage-of-water part by a
correlation type leakage of water detector etc., while any method receives the influence by a surrounding noise, unnecessary vibration (influence, blurring, etc. of a wind), etc., in order to find leakage of water, skill of the worker who inspects is required.
Therefore, it was difficult to find leakage of water correctly.
Moreover, since the device of both method was large-sized, there was a problem that it
was inconvenient for a water meter reader to carry this device.

Moreover, as shown in Fig. 3, there is a problem that the correlation type leakage of
water detector which connects with water service meter 34 directly, and judges
whether water is leaking or not has a large-sized device, at the time of leakage-of-water
inspection.
As described above, when conducting leakage-of-water inspection using this device,
water service meter 34 and this correlation type leakage of water detector are
connected, but both connecting state is unstable and operation is also complicated.
Therefore, at the time of the water service inspection of a meter, the water meter
reader must support a leak detection machine etc. single hand, and must conduct
leakage-of-water inspection intensively.
Therefore, it was difficult to conduct leakage-of-water inspection simply by a water
meter reader for a short time.

When conducting leakage-of-water inspection by a correlation type leakage of water
detector, display surface 34b of water service meter 34 is covered with 34d of
transparent glass boards.
Therefore, when conducting leakage-of-water inspection, this device is laid in the
surface of this glass board (transparent plate) 34d, a detection sensor is contacted on
this glass surface, the sound vibration from a leakage-of-water part is detected, and
leakage-of-water inspection is conducted.
However, it is very easy to slide on glass board 34d.
Moreover, display surface 34b of water service meter 34 was not installed horizontally,
but leans in many cases.
Therefore, the leakage-of-water detecting device placed by meter cap 34c which covers display surface 34b of water service meter 34 has very bad stability, and tends to reverseit.
Especially, when the wind is blowing, a leakage-of-water detecting device becomes still
more unstable.
Therefore, the water meter reader conducts leakage-of-water inspection. While
supporting a leakage-of-water detector with single hand, it is very unstable and poor in
its workability.
Therefore, the water meter reader had the problem that sufficient leakage-of-water
inspection could not be performed.

The invention given in patent documents 1 shown in Fig. 4 needs to attach water
service meter cap 52 with a leakage-of-water monitoring function to water service
meter 50 main part currently installed in a huge number of each consumer's house,
therefore, not only a work burden is large, but the supply cost and its attachment cost
of a huge number of water service meter cap 52 become huge.
Moreover, since built-in power supply 53 also had to be exchanged for every fixed time,
there is a problem that the cost burden of exchanging built in power supply was
required.

This invention was made in order to solve the above-mentioned problem, it can reduce
the whole cost as much as possible, and can carry out leakage-of-water inspection
simultaneously at the time of the inspection of a meter of a water service meter, the
leakage-of-water inspection device is miniaturized and weight saving so that it may not
become a burden of carrying, and the leakage-of-water judging machine which can be
stably connected with a water service meter at the time of leakage-of-water inspection
is offered.
[Means for Solving the Problem]

In a connection mechanism between a water service meter in a meter box having a transparent plate which covers a display surface, a water service meter head ring which binds this transparent plate and a water service meter cap, and a leakage-of-water judging machine which places on the upper surface of this water service meter cap and inspects leakage-of-water, an invention according to Claim 1 comprising: a main part case which provided an opening in the bottom central part while storing electric parts inside, and is a component of the leakage-of-water judging machine; a support plate which opposite arranged in parallel via this main part case bottom and a gap, arranged to the perpendicular central line of the leakage-of-water judging machine at the equal angle, fixed to the bottom of the main part case via the gap by the three legs whose tip projects from lower part, and is a component of the leakage-of-water judging machine; a detection part which can detect leakage-of-water sound by contacting the transparent plate of the water service meter in the tip of the three legs which project from this support plate, and is a component of the leakage-of-water judging machine; and a guide of a cave which is allocated in the gap between the bottom of the main part case and the support plate, hangs from the bottom of a the main part case to the support plate, and is a component of the leakage-of-water judging machine; wherein an acceleration sensor unit of electric parts is stored in the guide, is arranged in parallel with the bottom of the main part case in contact with the support plate, is coincided a perpendicular central line with the central line of the leakage-of-water judging machine, and is positioned and fixed to the opening so as to be located in the gap, a power supply unit of electric parts is coincided a perpendicular central line with the central line of the leakage-of-water judging machine, is stored by the main part case, is positioned in parallel over the acceleration sensor unit, and is fixed to the main part case, a circuit board unit of electric parts is coincided a perpendicular central line with the central line of the leakage-of-water judging machine, is positioned in parallel with the power supply unit, and is fixed to the main part case so as to lower the center of gravity of the leakage-of-water judging machine, at the time of leakage-of-water inspection, by placing this leakage-of-water judging machine in the upper surface of the water service meter cap, the tip of the three legs of a the leakage-of-water judging machine, is connected to the water service meter while it is inscribed in the water service meter head ring, and the leakage-of-water judging machine is stood on the water service meter in a stable state.

a main part case which provided an opening in the bottom central part while storing
electric parts inside;
a support plate which opposite arranged in parallel via this main part case bottom and
a gap, arranged to the perpendicular central line of the leakage-of-water judging
machine at the equal angle, fixed to the bottom of the main part case bottom via the
gap by the three legs whose tip projects from lower part;
a guide of a cave which is allocated in the gap between the bottom of the main part case
and the support plate, and hangs from the bottom of the main part case to the support
plate;
wherein a power supply unit and a circuit board unit of electric parts are coincided a
perpendicular central line towards the upper part from the internal bottom of the main
part case, are positioned in parallel with the bottom of the main part case, are stored, and are fixed to the main part case, a detection part constituted so that three leg tips which project from the undersurface of the support plate might detect vibration generated by leakage of water is fixed to the main part case, an acceleration sensor unit of electric parts is stored in the guide, is arranged in parallel with the bottom of the main part case in contact with the support plate, is coincided a perpendicular central line with the central line of the leakage-of-water judging machine, and is positioned and fixed to the opening so as to be located in the gap, so as to limit the height of the leakage-of-water judging machine and to lower the center of gravity of the leakage-of-water judging machine, at the time of leakage-of-water inspection, by placing this leakage-of-water judging machine in the upper surface of the water service meter cap, the tip of the three legs of the leakage-of-water judging machine is connected to the water service meter while it is inscribed in the water service meter head ring, and the leakage-of-water judging machine is stood on the water service meter in a stable state.

[Effect of the Invention]

Invention concerning Claim 1 and Claim 4 was constituted as mentioned above, the
supporting plate 3 is attached to the leakage-of-water judging machine, and the tip of
the three legs of the leakage-of-water judging machine used as the detection part which
senses the oscillating sound by leakage of water is inscribed in the water service meter
head ring 34e (refer to Fig. 3) and is held strongly. Therefore the connection state of
the leakage-of-water judging machine 1 and the water service meter 34 is stabilized very much.
Leakage-of-water judging machine 1 can be connected with the glass surface of water
service meter 34 in the state where it stood straight stably, even if the glass board on
which the transparent plate which covers display surface 34b of water service meter 34
tends to slide, or water service meter 34 leans.

The center of gravity of leakage-of-water judging machine 1 can be made low by
arranging the heavy parts such as acceleration sensor unit 11 or power supply unit 12
etc. in the lower part of main part case 2 of leakage-of-water judging machine 1.
Acceleration sensor unit 11 is arranged in gap 8 between the bottom of main part case 2
and support plate 3, and circuit board 13 is arranged in parallel in the bottom of main
part case 2,
the height of leakage-of-water judging machine 1 is made low, and stability of
leakage-of-water judging machine 1 attached to display surface 34b of water service
meter 34 is improved.
Since guide 5 in which acceleration sensor unit 11 is stored and support plate 3 of main
part case 2 are heavy, the center of gravity of leakage-of-water judging machine 1 can
be made still lower.

Furthermore, since this leakage-of-water judging machine 1 can be stored in the meter
box 35 if the height of the leakage-of-water judging machine 1 is made low,
the stability of leakage-of-water judging machine 1 improves without being affected by
the wind etc., while a leakage-of-water judging machine and water service meter 34 are
connected.

generally used, and is allocated with stop cock 37 in meter box 35 currently buried in

rectangle-form main part case 2, circular support plate 3, three bolts 4 and nut 4a
which constitute leg 9 of leakage-of-water judging machine 1 while fixing support plate
3 to main part case 2 with a screw and cylindrical guide 5 for acceleration sensor unit
11 being stored and protecting this acceleration sensor unit 11.

The upper end opening of main part case 2 for storing electric parts is covered possible

Support plate 3 is opposite arrangement in parallel with the bottom of main part case 2,

water service meter 34, and serves as detection part 10 for detecting vibration by
leakage of water.

shape, may have the shape of a polygon, such as a quadrangle and a pentagon, and
should just be the shape which horizontal balance was able to take to perpendicular

For example, the leg may be formed by the existing flexible member.

for leakage-of-water inspection, both are settled in meter box 35.
Therefore, it is not influenced by a wind at the time of leakage-of-water inspection.
Therefore, the stability of the connecting state of leakage-of-water judging machine 1
and water service meter 34 increases further.

In the case of this embodiment, the shape of guide 5 is cylindrical, but it may not be
limited to this, and the section of guide 5 are sufficient polygons, such as a quadrangle
and a pentagon.

amount of the water service used) displayed on display surface 34b of water service
meter 34 is read.

Leakage-of-water judging machine 1 is laid on glass board 34d of water service meter
cap 34c which covers display surface 34b of water service meter 34.
Under the present circumstances, the tip of three legs 9 of leakage-of-water judging
machine 1 touches water service meter head ring 34e, and leakage-of-water judging
machine 1 and water service meter 34 are connected.
As described above, gap 8 is interposed between main part case 2 of leakage-of-water
judging machine 1 and support plate 3, and acceleration sensor unit 11 with relatively
heavy weight is allocated in this gap 8, and since power supply unit 12 with the largest
weight within main part case 2 is allocated near the bottom of main part case 2, the
center of gravity of leakage-of-water judging machine 1 is very low compared with
goods conventionally.
Moreover, the tip of leg 9 used as three detecting parts 10 is strongly in contact with
water service meter head ring 34e projected from the surface of glass board 34d.
Therefore, since leakage-of-water judging machine 1 can stand being stabilized by
three legs 9 on the surface of glass board 34d of meter cap 34c of water service meter 34,
the connection mechanism between leakage-of-water judging machine 1 and water
service meter 34 is stabilized very much.

As described above, acceleration sensor unit 11 with relatively heavy weight is
allocated in gap 8, circuit board unit 13 is also arranged in parallel with main part case
2 and the perpendicular height of leakage-of-water judging machine 1 is also designed
low.
Therefore, even if leakage-of-water judging machine 1 and water service meter 34 are
connected, since leakage-of-water judging machine 1 is settled in meter box 35, it is not
influenced by a wind and its stability improves further.

In this state, operation switch 16 is turned on and panel surface 14a of display area 14 is read.
Under the present circumstances, when there is a leakage-of-water part, leakage-of-water sound is detected with leakage-of-water judging machine 1, and that
result is shown by either of three steps of waterdrop marks 15 which show the doubt of
leakage of water to panel surface 14a.
This result can be outputted to external apparatus (PC etc.) via USB connector 18 or
built-in BLUETOOTH (registered trademark).

- [Claim 4]A leakage-of-water judging machine which inspects leakage-of-water and places on theupper surface of a water service meter cap of a water service meter having atransparent plate which covers a display surface and a water service meter head ringwhich binds this transparent plate and allocated in a meter box, comprising:a main part case which provided an opening in the bottom central part while storingelectric parts inside;a support plate which opposite arranged in parallel via this main part case bottom anda gap, arranged to the perpendicular central line of said leakage-of-water judgingmachine at the equal angle, fixed to the bottom of said main part case via said gap bythe three legs whose tip projects from lower part;a guide of a cave which is allocated in said gap between the bottom of said main partcase and said support plate, and hangs from the bottom of said main part case to said support plate; wherein a power supply unit and a circuit board unit of said electric parts are coincided a perpendicular central line towards the upper part from the internal bottom of said main part case, are positioned in parallel with the bottom of said main part case, are stored, and are fixed to said main part case, a detection part constituted so that said three leg tips which project from the undersurface of said support plate might detect vibration generated by leakage of water is fixed to said main part case, an acceleration sensor unit of said electric parts is stored in said guide, is arranged in parallel with the bottom of said main part case in contact with said support plate, is coincided a perpendicular central line with the central line of said leakage-of-water judging machine, and is positioned and fixed to said opening so as to be located in said gap, so as to limit the height of said leakage-of-water judging machine and to lower the center of gravity of said leakage-of-water judging machine, at the time of leakage-of-water inspection, by placing this leakage-of-water judging machine in the upper surface of said water service meter cap, the tip of said three legs of said leakage-of-water judging machine is connected to said water service meter while it is inscribed in said water service meter head ring, and said leakage-of-water judging machine is stood on said water service meter in a stable state.
