Claims (10)

CLAIMS:
1. A method for mitigating risk of transmission of an infectious disease comprising:
providing a single integrated unit comprising: 2024203262
a substantially transparent shield component, wherein the substantially transparent shield component is connected to a collapsible and/or rotatable and/or extendible arm;
a chamber component, and
a vacuum device operatively attached to the chamber component, wherein the vacuum device is adapted to suction aerosol from a space between said substantially transparent shield component and an individual occupying an object over which the substantially transparent shield component has been placed,
wherein the chamber component comprises one or more diodes emitting ultraviolet light adapted to disinfect the aerosols located between the interior surface of the substantially transparent shield component and the individual;
wherein the chamber component is configurable to be located over the mouth and nasal region of the individual.
2. The method of claim 1, wherein the integrated unit is mountable to a wall.
3. The method of claim 1, wherein the substantially transparent shield component comprises a magnifying aspect.
4. The method of claim 3, wherein the magnifying aspect consists of one or more of the following: magnifying glass, light emitting diodes, and a camera communicatively attached to a display screen.
5. The method of any one of the preceding claims, wherein the substantially transparent shield component is placed approximately 10 inches from the individual’s 05 Feb 2026 face.
6. A system for mitigating risk of transmission of an infectious disease comprising:
a single integrated unit comprising:
a substantially transparent shield component, wherein the substantially 2024203262
transparent shield component is connected to a collapsible and/or rotatable and/or extendible arm,
a chamber component, and
a vacuum device operatively attached to the chamber component, wherein the vacuum device is adapted to suction aerosol from a space between said substantially transparent shield component and an individual occupying an object over which the substantially transparent shield component has been placed,
wherein the chamber component comprises one or more diodes emitting ultraviolet light adapted to disinfect the aerosols located between the interior surface of the transparent shield component and the individual;
wherein the chamber component is configurable to be located over the mouth and nasal region of the individual.
7. The system of claim 6, wherein the integrated unit is mountable to a wall.
8. The system of claim 6 or claim 7, wherein the substantially transparent shield component comprises magnifying material.
9. The system of any one of claim 6 to 8, further comprising lighting located on an interior surface of the substantially transparent shield component.
10. The system of any one of claims 6 to 9, further comprising a docking station wherein the docking station providers power to the system.
