Abstract

1. Grass cutter or the like with a rotating cutting wire (18), in which a cutter head (16) having a reel (17) with a cutting wire (18) wound there onto can be driven by a rotary drive, the outer end of the cutting wire (18) rotating freely together with the cutter head (16) and is fitted to the bottom of a cover (18), characterized in that the cover (28) is fixed so that it can be swung laterally outside the wire circle and the cutter head (16) project somewhat in the direction the opposite side of the fixture.
