Abstract

1. Stopping and locking device for an adjusting spindle (17), particularly a screw spindle of a thermostat, with a disk (20), optionally constructed as a stop disk, arranged in non-rotary manner on the inner end of spindle (17), and which is at least partly subject to the action of a pressing member (24), a resilient stopping element (27) on the pressing member (24) cooperating with a part on the disk (20), characterized in that the pressing member (24) is in the form of a ring (29) with externally joined, approximately rectangular shoulders (28) and displaced by 180 , and has at least two pressing parts (25), arranged symmetrically with respect to the axis of spindle (17) whilst, when viewed from the centre of the ring, stopping element (27) is shaped like a W and cooperates with a corresponding dog (26), ring, or the like on disk (20).
