Abstract

1. A method for annealing metal parts under a protective gas in a furnace into which the protective gas is intermittently introduced at maximum volume flow, characterised in that the protective gas is introduced at maximun volume flow during the heating-up phase only within a time interval in which the opacity of the furnace atmosphere is greater than that of the furnace atmosphere at ambient temperature.
