Abstract

This concerns a flush-mounted box (20) which is intended to be implanted within the very constituent material of any wall or of any partition, and the interior volume of which forms a housing (22) suitable for accommodating the mechanism of any electrical apparatus, with, laterally, an extension (23) whose interior volume is in connection with the interior volume of the above housing (22). According to the invention, over a portion at least of its length, the extension (23) is at least partially open at the front, by having, for example a U-shaped profile, such that its interior volume is at least partially accessible from the front and such that it is therefore possible to wire the electrical apparatus in question from the front, and there is associated with this extension (23) a detachable cover (35) capable of enclosing it. Application, especially, to the case where the electrical conductors suitable for the supply of the electrical apparatus in question are housed in a projecting channel on the wall to be equipped.
