The following statement Is a full description of this Invention, Including the best method of performing It known to us 1.- I d DEVICE FOR LIFTING AND ALIGNMENT OF NETS IN ROCK REINFORCEMENT The present invention relates to a device for lifting and alignment of nets in rock reinforcement.
In netting in connection with rock reinforcement nets, normally rectangular, are fastened to the roof of a rock cavity by means of rock bolts.
These nets are normally of a size of the order of 1.5m by 3m and with a distance of about 0.1 m between the threads. In order to do this in an economic way one must align the nets so that they become parallel so that one can obtain a minimal overlapping of the nets.
Netting is almost always done manually which is both heavy and timeconsuming, First one must fasten the net to the roof with a rcsk bolt and then align the net and fasten the net in the final position with further rock bolts, It is also known to use a tip on a drill rig for lifting the net, This makes the 15 work less heavy but one still has the alignment work which must be done manually.
The present invention aims at achieving a device where both lifting and alignment of the net Is done mechanically, Accordingly, the present invention provides a device for lifting and alignment of nets in rock reinforcement comprising a carrier a boom (2) *swingably connected to the carrier and a feed beam swingably connected to the boom, characterized by a net alignment unit connected to the feed beam whereby the net alignment unit comprises a support being turnable relative to the feed beam and that the support comprises two guiding means for a net arranged at a distance from each other.
Preferably the support is turnable relative to the feed beam by means of a hydraulic cylinder Preferably the support (42) is turnable relative to the feed beam by means of a rotary motor (43).
Two embodiments of the Invention are described below with reference to the accompanying drawings in which fig. 1 shows a part of a rock bolting rig comprising the Invention. Fig. 2 shows on a larger scale a part of the device la according to fig. 1. Fig. 3 shows a part of a second embodiment comprising the invention. Fig. 4 shows, on a larger scale, a part of the device according to fig.
3. Fig. 5 shows a part of the device according to fig. 4 on a larger scale. Fig. 6 shows a section according to 6-6 in fig. The device shown in figs 1 and 2 comprises a carrier 1 which swingably carries a boom 2. The boom is swingable about a universal joint 11 by means of hydraulic cylinders 12, one visible. A feed beam 3 for a rock drilling machine 13 or a not visible bolt setting machine is swingably arranged on the boom 2.
The feed beam 3 is swingable by means of a rotary motor arranged in the boom, by means of which the 9 S *9 9 :0 9 6 o *49 9 9* I IO()0i il feed beam can be turned about the longitudinal axis of the boom, and a hydraulic cylinder 14. A magazine 15 for rock bolts and a net alignment unit 4 are mounted on the feed beam 3. The net alignment unit 4 comprises a bracket 16 and a support with a plate 17. The bracket 16 is fixed to the feed beam 3. The support 5 is turnable relative to the bracket 16 by means of a hydraulic cylinder 7. Instead of the hydraulic cylinder 7 a rotary motor mounted on the bracket 16 can be used. The support comprises a spring by means of which the upper tube 18 becomes movable relative to the lower tube 19 so that the length of the support 5 is automatically adjusted to the surrounding rock, Instead of having a spring in the support 5 the support can be formed with a hydraulic cylinder for lengthening or shortening the support. The support comprises a plate 17 which has two or more guiding means 6 at a distance from each other, When a net has been put on the plate 17 the net can be lifted fe through swinging of the boom 2 and the feed beam 3 by means of the hydraulic cylinders 12 and 14 or by displacement of the feed beam 3 relative to the holder l. Furthermore the net can be aligned to parallelism with previously set nets through turning of the support 5 by means of the hydraulic cylinder 7. When nets are not set the plate 17 can be swung aside by the hydraulic cylinder 21.
The device shown in figs 3-6 differs from the device according to figs I and 2 in that the alignment unit 40 is different. The alignment unit 40 comprises a guide 41 for an g arched gear rack 42. The gear rack 42 is turnable relative to the feed beam 3 by means of a rotary motor 43, of which the outgoing gear wheel is shown. When the gear rack 42 is driven by the rotary motor 43 it turns about the axis 44 which is the axis along which the rock bolt is set. The gear rack 42 is at each end provided with a locking means 45 which is turnable about a shaft 47. The locking means, which is described more in detail in connection with figs 5 and 6, can be turned such that it can pass between the threads of the net 46 and then be turned such that the net is locked relative to the gear rack 42. Each locking means 45 comprises four radially extending arms 48. These arms are provided with grooves 49. The grooves 49 have a straight bottom portion 50. The locking means 45 is made of a reElient material, e.g.
polyurethane. When the locking means 45 is turned it snaps into the position shown.
It may be suitable to use a wrench to turn the locking means. The wrench is then suitably made such that the net can be put on the gear rack 42 by means of two
I-
-14 '1)05i il 3 wrenches which are turned when the net is on the gear rack so that the net becomes locked. After this the net is lifted and aligned as described in connection with fig 1.
The gear rack 42 functions as a support for the net and the locking means 45 as guiding means for the net arranged at a distance from each other.
