Abstract

"APARELHO DE AUTENTICAçãO PARA DOCUMENTOS DE VALOR, E, PROCESSO PARA AUTENTICAR DOCUMENTOS DE VALOR". Um aparelho de autenticação de documento (por exemplo, um papel-moeda) compreende um sistema de transporte (32-34, 50, 51) para transportar papéis-moeda. é provido um dispositivo de inspeção (35), após o qual os papéis-moeda são transportados pelo sistema de transporte, o dispositivo de inspeção possuindo uma fonte de UV (1), tal como um LED, e um detector de UV (4, 5), dispostos para irradiar um papel-moeda e detectar UV refletida, respectivamente. Um processador (11) é responsivo à UV refletida a fim de determinar a autenticidade do papel-moeda. O dispositivo de inspeção (35) inclui uma superfície de referência (3) sobre a qual os papéis-moeda são transportados em uso, a superfície de referência sendo exposta a radiação UV a partir da fonte (1) na ausência de um papel-moeda, de modo a gerar um sinal de nível de referência, e sendo orientada de tal modo que os papéis-moeda sejam entregues formando um ângulo agudo com a superfície, com o que a passagem de um papel-moeda pela superfície efetua uma ação de limpeza sobre a superfície.
