Als Azoverbindungen der Formel (1) sind vor allem solche zu erwähnen, worin Z einen über eine Aminogruppe gebundenen, halogenierten 1,3,5-Triazinrest bedeutet.

worin die Bedeutung der Symbole U, X und Y sich aus der bereits erläuterten Formel (1) ergibt, derart herstellen, dass man sie mit Aminen der Formel
H2N-R-V (3), worin R die bei der Erläuterung der Formel (1) angegebene Bedeutung hat und V eine Aminogruppe bedeutet, umsetzt und die erhaltenen Azoverbindungen mit Verbindungen, die einen faserreaktiven Rest enthalten, kondensiert.
Die Herstellung der Ausgangsverbindungen der Formel (2) erfolgt in an sich bekannter Weise durch Kupplung einer diazotierten l-Hydroxy(oder AlkoxyS2-amino-naphthalin4,8- disulfonsäure mit der 1-Amino-8-hydroxy-naphthalin-3,6- oder 4,6-disulfonsäure, Umsetzung mit einem kupferabgebenden Mittel und Kondensation mit Cyanurchlorid.
Als in Betracht kommende Diazokomponenten seien z. B. genannt: 1 -Hydroxy-2-amino-naphthalin4,8-disulfonsäure, I-Hydroxy-2-amino-6-nitro-naphthalin4,8-disulfonsäure, 1-Hydroxy-2-amino-naphthalin4,6,8-trisulfonsäure, I -Methoxy-2-amino-naphthalin4,8-disulfonsäure.
Die Diazotierung der l-Hydroxy(oder AlkoxyS2-amino- naphthalin4,8-disulfonsäuren erfolgt nach an sich bekannten Methoden, z. B. mit Hilfe von Salzsäure und Natriumnitrit.
Die Kupplung mit der l-Amino-8-hydroxy-naphthalin-3,6- oder 4,6-disulfonsäure erfolgt ebenfalls nach an sich bekannten Methoden in alkalischem Medium.
Als kupferabgebende Mittel kann man z. B. Salze verwenden, welche das Kupfer als Kation enthalten, wie z. B. Kupfersulfat, Kupferacetat. In manchen Fällen ist die Verwendung komplexer Kupferverbindungen von Vorteil, z. B. in Form von Kupfer-Ammin-Komplexen, wie Kupfertetramminsulfate aus Kupfersulfat und Ammoniak, Pyridin oder Mono äthanolamin, oder in Form von Verbindungen, welche das Kupfer komplex gebunden enthalten, z. B. komplexer Kupferverbindungen der Alkalisalze aliphatischer Aminocarbonsäuren oder Hydroxycarbonsäuren, wie des Glykols, der Milchsäure und vor allem der Weinsäure, wie Natriumkupfertartrat.
Die Behandlung mit dem kupferabgebenden Mittel kann nach an sich bekannten Methoden erfolgen, z. B. bei Raumtemperatur, falls leicht metallisierbare Ausgangsverbindungen vorliegend, oder, wenn gleichzeitig mit der Metallisierung eine Entalkylierung stattfinden muss, durch Erwärmen auf Temperaturen zwischen 50 und 1200 im offenen Gefäss, z. B. unter Rückflusskühlung oder gegebenenfalls im geschlossenen Gefäss unter Druck, wobei die pH-Verhältnisse durch die Art des gewählten Metallisierungsverfahrens gegeben sind; z. B. eine saure Kupferung mit Kupfersulfat, eine alkalische Kupferung mit Kupfertetramminsulfat. Gewünschtenfalls können bei der Metallisierung auch Lösungsmittel, wie z. B. Alkohol, Dimethylformamid usw. zugesetzt werden.
Die Kondensation mit dem Cyanurchlorid führt man zweckmässig unter Verwendung säurebindender Mittel, wie Natriumcarbonat oder Natriumhydroxyd, und unter solchen Bedingungen aus, dass im fertigen Produkt der Formel (2) noch zwei austauschbare Halogenatome übrigbleiben, d. h.
z. B. in organischen Lösungsmitteln oder bei relativ tiefen Temperaturen in wässrigem Mittel.
Als den Rest R enthaltende Ausgangsstoffe der Formel (3) kommen Amine mit acylischem oder cyclischem Rest, insbesondere mit einem aliphatischen Alkylrest oder mit einem aromatischen Rest in Betracht. Als Amine mit einem aliphatischen Alkylrest seien z. B. Äthylendiamin, 1,3-Diaminopropan, Hexamethylendiamin und Piperazin genannt. Als Amine mit einem aromatischen Rest kommen insbesondere m- oder p-Diaminobenzole in Betracht, die durch Halogenatome, wie z. B. Chlor- oder Bromatome, Alkylgruppen, wie z. B. die Methyl-, Äthyl- oder Isopropylgruppe oder Sulfonsäuregruppen oder Carboxylgruppen substituiert sein können.
Als Beispiele seien genannt: 1 ,4-Diaminobenzol-2-sulfonsäure, 1 -N-Methylamino4-aminobenzol-2-sulfonsäure, I ,3-Diaminobenzol4-sulfonsäure, 2,4-Diaminotoluol-5-sulfonsäure, I ,4-Diamino-2-chlorbenzol-5-sulfonsäure, 1,4-Daminobenzol, I ,3-Diaminobenzol, 2,4-Diaminotoluol, 2,4-Diaminotoluol-6-sulfonsäure, 2,6-Diamonotoluol4-sulfonsäure, I ,4-Diamino-2,3,5,6-tetramethylbenzol, I ,3-Diamono-2,4,6-trimethylbenzol, I ,3-Diamino-2,4,6-trimethylbenzol-5-sulfonsäure, t ,4-Diaminobenzol-2-carbonsäure.
Als Verbindungen, die einen faserreaktiven Rest enthalten, kommen vor allem einen reaktiven Acylrest abgebende Säurechloride oder-anhydride in Betracht.
Als einen faserreaktiven Rest enthaltende Acylierungsmittel seien beispielsweise die folgenden genannt: Chlor- oder Bromacetylchlorid, ss-Chlor- oder ss-Brompropionylchlorid, a,ss-Dichlor- oder α,ss-Dibrompropionylchlorid, Chlormaleinsäureanhydrid, Carbylsulfat, Acrylchlorid, ss-Chlor- oder ss-Bromacrylchlorid, a-Chlor- oder a-Bromacrylchlorid, a,ss-Dichlor- oder Dibromacrylchlorid, Trichloracrylchlorid, Chlorcrotonylchlorid, Propiolsäurechlorid, 3,5-Dinitro4-chlorbenzol-sulfonsäure- oder -carbonsäurechlorid, 3-Nitro4-chlor-benzol-sulfonsäure- oder -carbonsäurechlorid,

; Methoxyäthyl-, Methoxypropyl-amin, Dimethyl, Diäthyl-, Methylphenyl-, Äthylenphenylamin, Chloräthylamin, Äthanolamine, Propanolamine, Benzylamin, Cyclohexylamin, Morpholin, Piperidin, Piperazin, Amino- kohlensäureester, Aminoessigsäureäthylester, Aminoäthan-sulfonsäure, N-Methylaminoäthansulfonsäure, vor allem aber aromatische Amine, wie Anilin, N-Methylanilin, Toluidine, Xylidine, Chloraniline, p- bzw. m-Aminoacetanilid, Aminophenole, Anisidin, Phenetidin, und insbesondere saure Gruppen enthaltende Aniline, Sulfanil, Methanil-, Orthanilsäure, Anilindisulfonsäure, Aminobenzylsulfonsäure, Anilin-03-methansul- fonsäure, Aminobenzodicarbonsäuren, Naphthylaminomono-, -di- und -trisulfonsäuren, Aminobenzoesäuren, wie 2-Hydroxy5aminobenzoesäure, ferner auch gefärbte Verbindungen, bzw. Verbindungen mit Farbstoffcharakter, z.
B. 4-Nitro-4'- amino-stilbendisulfonsäure, 2-Nitro-4'-amino-diphenyl-ami- no4,3'- stilben-disulfonsäure, 2-Nitro4'-aminodiphenylamin4,3'- disulfonsäure und insbesondere Aminoazofarbstoffe oder Aminoanthrachinone oder Phthalocyanine, die noch mindestens eine reaktionsfähige Aminogruppe enthalten.
Bedeutet Z in Formel (I) ein über eine Aminogruppe an R gebundenen Dihalogentriazinrest, so kann die Einführung des in 2-Stellung des Triazinrestes stehenden Substituenten auch nach der erfindungsgemässen Umsetzung zur Azoverbindung der Formel (I) geschehen.
Die Kondensation mit den Säurehalogeniden oder Anhydriden oder mit den heterocyclischen Halogenverbindungen führt man zweckmässig in Gegenwart säurebindender Mittel, wie z. B. Natriumcarbonat, aus. Bei all diesen Reaktionen ist selbstverständlich so vorzugehen, dass im fertigen Produkt noch eine ungesättigte Bindung oder ein austauschbares Halogenatom übrig bleibt.
In den nach vorliegendem Verfahren erhaltenen Verbindungen der Formel (1), die einen heterocyclischen faserreaktiven Rest enthalten können die beweglichen Halogenatome des faserreaktiven Substituenten leicht, z. B. durch Umsetzung mit ternären Aminen oder mit Hydrazinen (wie Dimethylhydrazin) ersetzt werden, wobei faserreaktive Verbindungen entstehen, deren abspaltbarer Substituent eine an ein Kohlenstoffatom, insbesondere eines heterocyclischen Restes gebundene quaternäre Ammonium- oder Hydraziniumgruppe darstellt, d. h. z. B. eine Gruppe der Formel

worin Z2 eine Aminogruppe bedeutet.
Die neuen Azoverbindungen der Formel (1) lassen sich als Farbstoffe verwenden. Sie können isoliert und zu brauchba ren, trockenen Färbepräparaten verarbeitet werden. Die Isolierung erfolgt vorzugsweise bei möglichst niedrigen Temperaturen durch Aussalzen und Filtrieren. Die filtrierten Farbstoffe können gegebenenfalls nach Zugabe eines Gemisches gleicher Teile Mono- und Dinatriumphosphat, getrocknet werden; vorzugsweise wird die Trocknung bei nicht zu hohen Temperaturen und unter vermindertem Druck vorgenommen. Durch Zerstäubungstrocknung des ganzen Herstellungsgemisches kann man in gewissen Fällen die erfindungsgemässen trockenen Präparate direkt, d. h. ohne Zwischenisolierung der Farbstoffe herstellen.
Die neuen Farbstoffe eignen sich zum Färben und Bedrukken der verschiedensten Materialien, wie Seide, Leder, Wolle, Superpolyamidfasern und Superpolyurethanen, insbesondere aber cellulosehaltiger Materialien faseriger Struktur, wie Leinen, Zellstoff, regenerierte Cellulose und vor allem Baumwolle. Sie eignen sich besonders zum Färben nach dem sogenannten Ausziehverfahren aus langer Flotte, aus alkalischem, gegebenenfalls stark salzhaltigem wässerigem Bade und auch zum Färben von Cellulose nach dem sogenannten Padfärbeverfahren, wonach die Ware mit wässerigen und gegebenenfalls auch salzhaltigen Farbstofflösungen imprägniert wird und die Farbstoffe auf die zu färbende Ware durch eine Alkalibehandlung, vorzugsweise in der Wärme, fixiert werden.
Dieses Verfahren und das Ausziehverfahren ergeben Färbungen, die sich in der Regel durch eine gute Lichtechtheit, einen hohen Fixierungsgrad und vor allem durch hervorragende Nassechtheiten und durch eine leichte Entfernbarkeit nicht fixierter Farbstoffanteile auszeichnen.
Zwecks Verbesserung der Nassechtheiten empfiehlt es sich, die Färbungen und Drucke einem gründlichen Spülen mit kaltem und heissem Wasser, gegebenenfalls unter Zusatz eines dispergierend wirkenden und die Diffusion der nicht fixierten Farbstoffanteile fördernden Mittels zu unterwerfen.
In den nachfolgenden Beispielen bedeuten die Teile, sofern nichts anderes angegeben wird, Gewichtsteile, die Prozente Gewichtsprozente, und die Temperaturen sind in Celsiusgraden angegeben.
Beispiel 1
85,8 Teil der Verbindung der Formel

werden in 1000 Teilen Wasser gelöst und mit einer wässerigen Lösung von 18,8 Teilen 1,3-Diaminobenzol-4-sulfonsäure versetzt. Das Reaktionsgemisch wird 2 Stunden zwischen 20 und 25 gehalten und fortwährend mit einer verdünnten Natriumhydroxydlösung neutralisiert. Nach beendeter Kondensation kühlt man auf 8" und gibt eine Lösung von 19 Teilen Cyanurchlorid gelöst in 80 Teilen Aceton hinzu. Die bei der Kondensation freiwerdende Säure wird mit verdünnter Natriumhydroxydlösung in der Weise neutralisiert, dass die Lösung schwach sauer bleibt (pH 5 bis 6).
Danach gibt man 50 Teile einer 10 /0igen wässerigen Ammoniaklösung hinzu, erwärmt auf 30 und hält 2 Stunden zwischen 30 und 40".
Der gebildete Farbstoff, welcher pro Azogruppe nahezu 2 Chloratome enthält, wird ausgesalzen, abfiltriert und getrocknet. Er färbt Baumwolle nach dem Ausziehverfahren in Gegenwart von Natriumcarbonat in echten blauen Tönen.

Beispiel 2
Man verfährt nach den Angaben in Beispiel 1. Nach der Kondensation mit Cyanurchlorid wird der Farbstoff, der 3 Chloratome enthält, durch Zugabe von Natriumchlorid ausgefällt, abfiltriert, mit einer konzentrierten Lösung von 7 Teilen Dinatriumphosphat und 3 Teilen Mononatriumphosphat gut vermischt und im Vakuum bei 50 getrocknet. Er färbt Baumwolle in echten blauen Tönen.
Beispiel 3
Man verfährt wie in Beispiel 1 angegeben. Nach der Kondensation mit Cyanurchlorid gibt man eine mit Natriumcarbonat neutralisierte Lösung von 17,3 Teilen Aminobenzol-3-sulfonsäure hinzu und rührt die Mischung 2 Stunden bei 30 , wobei der pH-Wert durch Zugabe einer Natriumcarbonatlösung zwischen 6 und 7 gehalten wird. Der Farbstoff wird durch Kochsalz ausgesalzen, abfiltriert und getrocknet. Er färbt Baumwolle in echten blauen Tönen.
Färbevorschrift I
2 Teile des gemäss Beispiel 1 erhaltenen Farbstoffes werden unter Zusatz von 0,5 Teilen m-nitrobenzolsulfonsaurem Natrium in 100 Teilen Wasser gelöst. Mit der erhaltenen Lösung wird ein Baumwollgewebe imprägniert, so dass es um 7S01o seines Gewichts zunimmt und dann getrocknet.
Danach imprägniert man das Gewebe mit einer 20 warmen Lösung, die pro Liter 5 Gramm Natriumhydroxyd und 300 Gramm Natriumchlorid enthält, quetscht auf 7S01o Gewichtszunahme ab, dämpft die Färbung während 20 bis 30 Sekunden bei 100 bis 101 , spült, seift während einer Vietelstunde in einer 0,3 /eigen kochenden Lösung eines ionenfreien Waschmittels, spült und trocknet.
Druckvorschrift:
2 Teile des gemäss Beispiel 1 hergestellten Farbstoffes werden unter schnellem Rühren in 100 Teile einer Stammverdickung, enthaltend 45 Teile 50/oige Natriumalginatverdikkung, 32 Teile Wasser, 20 Teile Harnstoff, 1 Teil m-nitrobenzolsulfonsaures Natrium sowie 2 Teile Natriumbicarbonat, eingestreut.
Mit der so erhaltenen Druckpaste bedruckt man ein Baumwollgewebe auf einer Rouleauxdruckmaschine und dämpft den erhaltenen bedruckten Stoff 1 bis 2 Minuten bei 100" in gesättigtem Dampf. Das bedruckte Gewebe wird dann in kaltem und heissem Wasser gründlich gespült, wobei sich die nicht chemisch fixierten Anteile sehr leicht von der
Faser entfernen lassen, und anschliessend getrocknet.
Färbevorschrift II
2 Teile des gemäss Beispiel 1 erhältlichen Farbstoffes werden in 100 Teilen Wasser gelöst.
Die Lösung gibt man zu 3900 Teilen kaltem Wasser, fügt 80 Teile Natriumchlorid zu und geht mit 100 Teilen eines
Baumwollgewebes in dieses Färbebad ein.
Man steigert die Temperatur in 45 Minuten auf 900, wobei nach 30 Minuten 40 Teile Trinatriumphosphat und nochmals 80 Teile Natriumchlorid zugegeben werden. Man hält die Temperatur 30 Minuten auf 90 , spült und seift dann die Färbung während 15 Minuten in einer 0,3 /Oigen, kochen den Lösung eines ionenfreien Waschmittels, spült und trock net.
Es resultiert eine wasch- und lichtechte blaue Färbung.
