Diese Füh­rungen 30 sind beispielsweise von handelsüblichen Schrauben 31 gebildet, deren Gewindeenden jeweils zu einem im Durchmesser kleiner gehaltenen Füh­rungsstift 32 ausgebildet sind. Diese Führungsstifte 32 greifen in seitlich in der Fassung 27 angeordnete Sacklochbohrungen 33 ein, die jeweils als quer zur Längsrichtung der Fassung verlaufende (senkrechte) Nut ausgebildet sind. Die Breite jeder Nut 33 ent­spricht dem Durchmesser der Führungsstifte 32, so dass durch ihre seitliche Linienberührung auch die nachteiligen horizontalen Schubkräfte der Fassung 27 in der Nut auf die Anzahl der Schrauben 31 verteilt werden. An der Anlage­fläche zwischen Druckplatte 20 und Schenkel 37a ist eine Ringdichtung 39 angeordnet, welche die ge­bildete Nut 22 nach oben abdichtet. Ausserdem ist parallel zu den Schrauben 38 eine Bohrung 40 für die Zuführung eines Druckmittels angeordnet, die in die Nut 22 einmündet. Dieses Druckmittel wirkt auf ein Dichtungsprofil 41, das in der Nut 22 zwischen der Fassung 27 und dem Nutengrund angeordnet ist. In die leistenförmigen Passstücke 46 lassen sich zur besseren Gleitung auch Schmiernippel 35 befestigten, über die ein Schmiermittel zugeführt werden kann, um die Reibung zu mindern.FIG. 8 shows a further possibility of guiding the socket 27. Claims (10)

1. Apparatus for applying a surface pressure to moving workpieces such as wood material panels or the like in which at least one circulating pressing belt (12) can be pressed against the workpiece (14) by a pressure medium which can be introduced into a rectangular pressure chamber (17) which adjoins the pressing belt and which is sealed by means of a sealing strip (23) extending therearound, at the side of a pressure plate (20) which is towards the pressing belt, wherein the sealing strip (23) is fixedly connected to a correspondingly rectangular holder frame (27) which is guided in a groove in the pressure plate, mounted movably inwards and outwards of the groove, and is pressure-loaded towards the pressing belt which is arranged to slide along the sealing strip, characterised in that at the periphery of the pressure plate (20) at spacings from each other a plurality of support members for holding and guiding the holder frame (27) are fitted into the pressure plate, directed inwardly from the outside periphery, which support members, in the form of a screw (31), pin (32) or fitting member (42, 46), can be advanced adjustably in their longitudinal direction extending transversely with respect to the flank of the associated part of the holder frame, the projecting end of the respective support member or members each engaging into a respective one of guide grooves (34, 35) which are arranged laterally in the holder frame (27) and which extend perpendicularly to the surface of the pressing belt (12), and that each guide groove (33, 45) has at least one boundary which forms an abutment surface and limits the outward movement of the holder.
2. Apparatus according to claim 1 characterised in that the groove (33, 45) is of an arcuate configura­tion at the ends or at one end.
3. Apparatus according to claim 1 characterised in that the screw (31), the pin (32) or the like is provided with an (open) lubricating bore (36) which terminates in front of the side surface of the holder (27).
4. Apparatus according to claim 1 characterised in that the lateral groove (33) is in the form of a lubricating pocket.
5. Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 4 characterised in that the side surfaces of the holder (27) and the groove (22) accomodating same are finished (polished).
6. Apparatus according to claim 1 characterised in that the lateral groove (45) is open at the pressing belt side.
7. Apparatus according to claim 1 characterised in that the fitting member (42, 46) is mounted displaceably in a shaped bar member (37) which is secured to the pressure plate (20) and of which one side surface forms a part of the groove (22) ac­comodating the holder (27) (Figures 6 to 8).
8. Apparatus according to claim 7 characterised in that the fitting member (42) is held by means of a screw (43) which is fitted into the shaped bar mem­ber (37) perpendicularly to the plane of the pressing belt ( 12), at the pressing belt side.
9. Apparatus according to claim 7 characterised in that the fitting member (46) is held by means of a screw (48) which is fitted into the shaped bar mem­ber (37) parallel to the plane of the pressing belt (12) from the side.
10. Apparatus according to one of claims 1 to 9 characterised in that a pressure medium tube (28) is mounted parallel to the holder (27) in the groove (22) accomodating the holder, the pressure medium tube (28) moving the holder (27) in the direction of the pressing belt (12) and being supplied by way of a pressure medium line (29).
