Description

The invention relates to a tubular bag package consisting of lumpy goods, in particular divided or subdividable into several parts, and a sleeve formed from a flat, foldable packaging material, which has a strip-shaped doubling area of the packaging material, in which the two layers of packaging material forming the doubling area via a strip-shaped connecting area are connected to one another, punchings and / or material weakenings being arranged in one of the two layers of the doubling area within the strip-shaped connecting area as an opening aid.

A pack of this type is described in GE utility model 8215687.5. It relates to a tubular bag pack, in which the strip-like doubling area is formed by the edges of the packaging material web, which are connected to one another during production of the pack to form a tube enveloping the packaged goods, forming a longitudinal sealing seam. The material weakenings lie in the connection area created by the longitudinal sealing seam, so that the material weakenings, e.g. can be formed by perforations that do not adversely affect the tightness and mechanical strength of the packing envelope. The package is opened by pulling on the longitudinal sealing seam, in which it is first partially peeled off and the packaging material finally tears at the material weakenings.

In this known package, the location at which the package is opened is now determined by the position of the longitudinal sealing seam, which cannot be arranged at any desired location for manufacturing reasons. It should e.g. in chocolate bars, for example, they lie in a central area of a large envelope area, because by attacking the double area containing the longitudinal sealing seam, the packaging material tube containing the packaging material is transported through the packaging machine.

The invention, as characterized in claim 1, solves the problem of specifying a tubular bag pack of the type mentioned, in which the position of the opening point can be chosen largely independently of the other structure of the pack.

Particular embodiments of the invention are specified in the dependent claims.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the figures, which is shown in
  • Fig. 1 and Fig. 2 shows a phase of the production of a preferred embodiment of the package according to the invention in the form of a tubular bag package for chocolate, or the finished package in a perspective view.
  • Fig. 3 is a partial view of this pack in section and in
  • 4 and 5 the same pack in two different phases of the opening process.

To produce the package according to FIGS. 1 and 2, a fold 2 is first continuously formed in the packaging machine in a packaging material web 1 which has been pulled off the roll and provided on one side with a sealing layer applied in the profile, the two layers of packaging material forming the doubling area of the fold 2 across the entire width of the folds by sealing the existing profile sealing layers at this point. The packaging material web has a weakening line 3 running in its longitudinal direction (perpendicular to the plane of the drawing in FIG. 1), which comes to lie in the fold 2. The fold 2 is then folded over onto the level of the packaging material web 1 in such a way that the packaging material layer within which the weakening line 3 is located lies against the surface 4 of the packaging material web 1. If necessary, these lines of weakness can also be attached directly to the packaging machine with a suitable device immediately before the fold is produced.

The packaging material web 1 thus provided with a longitudinal fold 2 is now (see FIG. 1) in the usual way to form a packaging material tube around the successively supplied packaging items, e.g. Chocolate bars 5, folded over in the direction of the arrows 6, the guidance of the packaging material web 1 running such that the fold 2 at a predetermined point, e.g. starts from the packaging material web 1 in the area of a chocolate bar division notch 7.

From the packaging material web 1 folded over the chocolate bars 5, the finished packaging material tube is finally formed by producing a longitudinal sealing seam and, after the longitudinal sealing seam has been folded over, it is provided with two transverse sealing seams running parallel to one another and divided into individual tubular bag packs by separating cuts between these two transverse sealing seams.

An der in Fig. 2 dargestellten Einzelpackung erkennt man ie umgelegte Falte 2, den Verlauf der Schwächungslinie 3, die umgelegte Längssiegelungsnaht 8 sowie die nun die Flossen 9 der Schlauchbeutelpackung bildenden Quersiegelungsnähte.2 shows the folded fold 2, the course of the weakening line 3, the folded longitudinal sealing seam 8 and the transverse sealing seams which now form the fins 9 of the tubular bag pack.

The fold 2 forms a doubling area of the packaging material with two layers 11 and 12, the layer 11 lying against the packaging surface containing the weakening line 3, which consists of several in the weakening lines runs successively arranged and separated from each other line-shaped punchings or consists of a continuous line-shaped slit ending shortly before the ends of the transverse sealing seams.

The opening of the package will now be described in more detail with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5.

To open the package, it is gripped with both hands on both sides of the fold 2 and bent around one inside the package under the chocolate bar dividing notch 7 (FIG. 3) and parallel to this axis while simultaneously breaking through the chocolate bar 5 so that the Fold 2 comes to lie on the outside of the crease (see Fig. 4). Thereby - as indicated by the arrows 13 - a tensile stress is generated on both sides of the fold 2 in the packaging envelope, which causes the two layers of packaging material 11, 12 forming the fold 2 to separate the seal connection with progressive kinking of the package peel each other from the inside of the pack. This continues until this separation reaches the punched holes along the line 3 in the packaging material layer 11, after which, by tearing through the material bridges between the punched holes, the pack kinks approximately as far as shown in FIG. 5. In this case, a slot-shaped opening 14 (FIG. 5) has formed on the packaging material layer 11 torn along the line 3 in the packaging envelope, through which packaging material can be removed from the package.

In the case of the package described above, for example, a three-layer packaging material is used which, starting from the outside of the package, consists of a 0.012 to 0.020 mm thick film made of biaxially stretched polypropylene (OPP), a 0.007 to 0.009 mm thick aluminum film, a paper with a grammage of 20 to 60 g / m 2 and a latex-based cold adhesive coating preferably applied in the profile (2 to 7 g / m 2 solid).

According to another advantageous embodiment of the pack according to the invention, the packaging material layer 11 along the line 3 does not have punchings, but material weakenings that form a weakening line. Suitable packaging materials, in which such weakening lines can be provided with reproducible weakening of the material, are advantageously constructed in multiple layers and consist of at least one backing layer and one top layer, along the intended weakening line the backing layer covered by the uninterrupted top layer with a punching or a purity of linear lines separated from one another Punching is provided. A suitable two-layer packaging material consists - starting from the outside of the pack - of paper with a grammage of 20 to 50 g / m 2 as the backing, a 0.007 to 0.009 thick aluminum foil as the top layer and a subsequent cold adhesive coating based on latex (2 to 7 g / m 2 ). According to an advantageous variant, a 0.020 to 0.040 mm thick OPP film can be used as the carrier layer.

This package is opened in the same way as described with reference to FIGS. 3 to 5. If the cold seal connection between the layers 11, 12 of the fold 2, which is caused by the kinking of the pack, reaches the weakening line arranged along the line 3, this breaks open, as a result of which a slit-shaped opening 14 is formed in the pack envelope through which Packaged goods can be removed.

Instead of the cold adhesive coating, a heat seal layer can also be used in the package according to FIGS. 1 to 3.

The distance between the punched holes and / or material weakenings from the inner edge of the pack of the connection area which occupies the entire width of the fold should advantageously be at least 1 mm, i.e. it should be so large that even if there are inaccuracies in the production of the package, these punchings and / or material weakenings can safely lie within the connection area 15 (see FIGS. 1 and 3).
