Definitions
- the invention relates to a system according to the preamble of patent claim 1 and a dry shaving apparatus according to the preamble of patent claim 7.
- Such systems can be designed for various possible applications; For example, electric hair clippers, electric toothbrushes or electric household appliances can work together as small electrical appliances with an additional device for the purpose of charging, cleaning and / or diagnosis.
- a cleaning and loading device for a dry shaver is known. This is used to clean the shaving head and the electrical charge of the electrical storage cells arranged in the dry shaver.
- the dry shaver with its shaving head is inserted into a receiving part, which is then filled with a cleaning liquid.
- the cleaning liquid loosens hair residues and deposits adhering to the shaving head, which are then returned to a liquid container together with the cleaning liquid.
- the dry shaver is also used temporarily to increase the cleaning effect. For this purpose it is electrically connected to the cleaning device. This connection not only transmits electrical energy for operating and, if necessary, charging the electrical storage cells, but information and control signals can also be exchanged between the two devices.
- the dry shaver is contacted with the cleaning device via the device socket of the dry shaver, which is connected to the electrical connections in the cleaning device.
- the appliance socket is arranged at the end of the housing of the dry shaver opposite the shaving head; it is also used to connect a power cord.
- the electrical connections of the cleaning device are arranged in the upper end of a contact dome, where they can be moved by means of a button in the direction of the device socket of the dry shaver. With its contacting, the electrical connections are held in this position by locking hooks; the dry shaver is then electrically connected to the cleaning device and mechanically locked.
- Small electrical devices with a separate charging station have the disadvantage that they do not allow mains operation, so that when the battery is discharged, use must be dispensed with until the charging process is complete.
- Another disadvantage is that on longer journeys the mostly large-volume and heavy charger must always be carried along in order to ensure the operation or the electrical energy supply of the small device.
- the invention is therefore based on the object of improving a system described at the outset in such a way that, on the one hand, it can be produced with significantly less effort and, on the other hand, it allows extremely simple and at the same time comfortable use.
- use of the small electrical device should also be made possible independently of the additional device.
- the additional electrical coupling means is advantageously arranged separately from the first coupling means so that one of the two coupling means can be positioned optimally for docking to the additional device and the other coupling means can be positioned optimally for the best possible use of the small electrical device in network operation.
- a particularly convenient, safe and user-friendly type of docking can be implemented if automatic electrical or electromagnetic contacting takes place when the small electrical device is positioned in the receiving device of the additional device.
- a simple contact-making option associated with a high degree of efficiency for both battery-operated and mains-operated devices can be implemented if the additional coupling means is an electrical plug connection in the form of a device socket.
- the first electrical coupling means can be designed as electrical contact elements, which means very little structural effort. In order to realize comfortable and safe contacting, it is advantageous if the electrical contact elements of at least one of the two devices are designed to be resilient.
- the first coupling means can also be designed as inductive energy and / or signal transmission means.
- One field of application of the invention consists in an embodiment of the small electrical device as a dry shaver with a shaving head and the additional device as a cleaning and charging device for cleaning the shaving head and for charging the energy storage cell of the dry shaver.
- a dry razor used in such a system is designed in such a way that its first coupling means is arranged near or directly in the area of the shaving head and the additional coupling means is arranged on the end of the housing of the dry shaver opposite the shaving head .
- a dry shaving apparatus in an associated cleaning and loading device is shown in the single figure in a schematic and greatly simplified representation.
- the drawing shows a dry shaver 1 with a shaving head 2, which is inserted upside down - that is, with the shaving head facing downwards - into the receiving device 3 of the cleaning and charging device 4.
- the shaving head 2 can be cleaned in a manner known per se by means of a cleaning fluid.
- the cleaning and loading device 4 comprises a liquid container and corresponding means for transporting liquid.
- the cleaning and charging device 4 is also used to charge the electrical storage cells of the dry shaver 1, if it is a battery-operated device. Another function of the cleaning and charging device 4 is that of storing the dry shaving apparatus 1, so it also serves as a device holder that can optionally be attached to a wall.
- the receiving device 3 is trough-shaped, the rear wall 5 being slightly higher than the front wall 6.
- the rear wall 5 is also used to plant the dry shaver 1 shown in the side view.
- the cleaning and charger 4 has an electrical connection designed as a device socket 7, through which it can be supplied with electrical voltage from the mains.
- the electrical contact between the dry shaver 1 and the cleaning and charging device 4 takes place via two contact buttons 8, which are arranged in the rear wall 5 of the cleaning and charging device 4 and two corresponding contact elements 9, which are in one of the broad sides, i.e. the front - Or the back of the dry shaver 1 are integrated. Both the contact buttons 8 and the contact elements 9 are convex.
- the contact buttons 8 are elastically biased in the wall by means of the compression spring 10 in the direction of the dry shaver 1 and are thus resiliently mounted.
- Each contact button 8 has a circumferential collar 11 which secures it against falling out. If a dry shaver is not used in the receiving direction 3, this collar 11 rests against the wall 5, loaded by the compression spring 10.
- control signals and information between the dry shaver and the cleaning and charging device are transmitted via this electrical contact point, for example information on the device type, the state of soiling and the frequency and duration of use as well as signals for controlling the cleaning process can be transmitted.
- the electrical contact is also used to transfer energy for charging electrical storage cells that are integrated in the dry shaver 1, provided that it is intended for battery operation.
- the dry shaver 1 can be inserted very easily and conveniently into the cleaning and charging device 4.
- the cleaning and charging device can therefore also be designed in a very compact design.
- the electrical contact is made automatically after it has been placed in the receiving device 3 and the dry shaving apparatus 1 leaned against the rear wall 5.
- the dry shaver is provided at its end 12 opposite the shaving head 2 with a device socket 13 through which it can electrical contact can be made with a power cord.
- This device socket 13 preferably corresponds to the electrical connection 7 of the cleaning and charging device 4, so that one and the same power cord can be used both for operating the cleaning and charging device 4 and for operating the dry shaver 1 itself.
- an electrical coupling between the dry shaver 1 and the cleaning and charging device can also be used 4 take place via inductive means, so that then both in the dry shaver 1 and in the cleaning and charging device 4, coil arrangements known per se are provided.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a system according to the preamble of
Such systems can be designed for various possible applications; For example, electric hair clippers, electric toothbrushes or electric household appliances can work together as small electrical appliances with an additional device for the purpose of charging, cleaning and / or diagnosis.
In the known system, the dry shaver is contacted with the cleaning device via the device socket of the dry shaver, which is connected to the electrical connections in the cleaning device. The appliance socket is arranged at the end of the housing of the dry shaver opposite the shaving head; it is also used to connect a power cord. The electrical connections of the cleaning device are arranged in the upper end of a contact dome, where they can be moved by means of a button in the direction of the device socket of the dry shaver. With its contacting, the electrical connections are held in this position by locking hooks; the dry shaver is then electrically connected to the cleaning device and mechanically locked. It is disadvantageous that the construction of the cleaning device or the contact dome is very complex and expensive to manufacture and assemble. In addition, positional deviations or manufacturing tolerances can lead to plugging or clamping problems during contacting. This then makes it more difficult to dock the dry shaving apparatus to the cleaning device with reliable electrical contact, which is easy to move and therefore comfortable.

In addition, additional devices designed as charging devices for small battery-operated devices are known which contact the small electrical device either directly galvanically or inductively.
Small electrical devices with a separate charging station, however, have the disadvantage that they do not allow mains operation, so that when the battery is discharged, use must be dispensed with until the charging process is complete. Another disadvantage is that on longer journeys the mostly large-volume and heavy charger must always be carried along in order to ensure the operation or the electrical energy supply of the small device.
The invention is therefore based on the object of improving a system described at the outset in such a way that, on the one hand, it can be produced with significantly less effort and, on the other hand, it allows extremely simple and at the same time comfortable use. In addition, use of the small electrical device should also be made possible independently of the additional device.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the characterizing features of
The additional electrical coupling means is advantageously arranged separately from the first coupling means so that one of the two coupling means can be positioned optimally for docking to the additional device and the other coupling means can be positioned optimally for the best possible use of the small electrical device in network operation.
A particularly convenient, safe and user-friendly type of docking can be implemented if automatic electrical or electromagnetic contacting takes place when the small electrical device is positioned in the receiving device of the additional device.
A simple contact-making option associated with a high degree of efficiency for both battery-operated and mains-operated devices can be implemented if the additional coupling means is an electrical plug connection in the form of a device socket.
The first electrical coupling means can be designed as electrical contact elements, which means very little structural effort. In order to realize comfortable and safe contacting, it is advantageous if the electrical contact elements of at least one of the two devices are designed to be resilient.
Alternatively, the first coupling means can also be designed as inductive energy and / or signal transmission means.
One field of application of the invention consists in an embodiment of the small electrical device as a dry shaver with a shaving head and the additional device as a cleaning and charging device for cleaning the shaving head and for charging the energy storage cell of the dry shaver.
It is particularly advantageous if a dry razor used in such a system is designed in such a way that its first coupling means is arranged near or directly in the area of the shaving head and the additional coupling means is arranged on the end of the housing of the dry shaver opposite the shaving head .
Further aim, features, advantages and possible applications of the present invention emerge from the following description of the exemplary embodiments.
For this purpose, a dry shaving apparatus in an associated cleaning and loading device is shown in the single figure in a schematic and greatly simplified representation.
The drawing shows a
The cleaning and charging device 4 is also used to charge the electrical storage cells of the
The
On the one hand, control signals and information between the dry shaver and the cleaning and charging device are transmitted via this electrical contact point, for example information on the device type, the state of soiling and the frequency and duration of use as well as signals for controlling the cleaning process can be transmitted. In addition, the electrical contact is also used to transfer energy for charging electrical storage cells that are integrated in the
In order to be able to operate the
Of course, according to an embodiment not shown in the drawing, instead of the galvanic contact elements 9 and the contact buttons 8, an electrical coupling between the
