Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Betriebsweise einer Rollenrotationsdruckmaschine mit Druckwerken zum Bedrucken von Bahnen, wobei jedes Druckwerk einen Formzylinder enthält, derin Umfangsrichtung und Längsrichtung jeweils mit stehenden Broadsheetseiten oder liegenden Tabloidseiten belegbar ist.The invention relates to a mode of operation of a web-fed rotary printing press with printing units for printing webs, wherein each printing unit contains a forme cylinder which can be assigned in the circumferential direction and longitudinal direction in each case with standing broadsheet pages or lying tabloid sides.

Es ist Aufgabe der Erfindung, bei einer Rollenrotationsdruckmaschine die Möglichkeit zu schaffen, Tabloidprodukte unter Wahrung ihrer Buchstruktur herzustellen.
Die Aufgabe wird erfindungsgemäß mit den Merkmalen des unabhängigen Anspruchs 1 gelöst. Dank der stehenden Anordnung der Tabloidseiten auf dem Formzylinder wird der Rücken des herzustellenden Tabloidbuches beim Längsfalzen über den Falztrichter gebildet. Die von einer Abrollung 9 abgewickelte Bahn 10 wird von den Druckwerken 2 pro Formzylinderumdrehung beidseitig mit den auf der Bahn 10 dargestellten Broadsheetseiten 4 bedruckt. Das Druckbild wird vom Formzylinder 2 auf einen Übertragungszylinder und von diesem auf die Bahn 10 übertragen. Im Ausführungsbeispiel arbeiten jeweils zwei Druckwerke 2 im Gummi-Gummi-Prinzip zusammen, wobei die Bahn 10 zwischen die gegeneinander angestellten Übertragungszylinder hindurchgeführt wird. Die so bedruckte Bahn 10 wird mittels zweier Längsschneidvorrichtungen 11 in drei jeweils zwei Broadsheetseiten 4 breite Stränge 12, 13, 14 geschnitten, die über jeweils einen Falztrichter 5 geführt und dabei längs gefalzt werden. Die längs gefalzten Stränge 12, 13, 14 werden aneinander gelegt dem Falzapparat 6 zugeführt. Bei dem Falzapparat 6 handelt es sich um einen 2:3:3-Falzapparat mit einem Messerzylinder 15, einem Punktur-Falzmesserzylinder 16 und einem Falzklappenzylinder 17 mit den genannten Durchmesserverhältnissen. Es könnte sich aber auch beispielsweise um einen 2:5:5-Falzapparat handeln. Im Falzapparat 6 werden die Stränge 12, 13, 14 zu Signaturen geschnitten, die nach Querfalzung das in
Statt mit stehenden Broadsheetseiten 4 ist jeder Formzylinder 3 auch mit stehenden Tabloidseiten (Druckseiten im Tabloidformat) 19 belegbar. Im Einzelnen trägt der Formzylinder 3 dann drei stehende Tabloidseiten 19 in Umfangsrichtung und acht stehende Tabloidseiten 19 in der Längsrichtung. Es handelt sich dabei um die zweimalige Anordnung des in
Die mit den stehenden Tabloidseiten 19 bedruckte Bahn 10 wird mittels drei Längsschneidvorrichtungen 11 in vier jeweils zwei Tabloidseiten 19 breite Stränge 21 bis 24 längs geschnitten. Diese Stränge 21 bis 24 werden über jeweils einen Falztrichter 25 geführt und dabei längs gefalzt. Nachfolgend werden die Stränge 21 bis 24 aneinander gelegt und einem Schneidwerk 29 zugeführt. Zuvor kann mittels eines Leimwerkes 30 noch eine Rückenklebung erfolgen, das heißt, die Falzrücken werden verleimt. Das Leimwerk 30 enthält vorteilhaft im Detail nicht dargestellte Einrichtungen, die den Leim streifenförmig auf einzelne Stränge 21 bis 24 auftragen. Im Schneidwerk 29 werden die Stränge 21 bis 24 zu Tabloidbüchern 31 geschnitten. Anschließend werden jeweils vier Tabloidbücher 31 aneinander liegend und gegebenenfalls am Rücken verleimt als ein sechzehn Seiten enthaltendes Tabloidprodukt 32 (
Das Schneidwerk 29 ist beispielsweise als sogenanntes 2:2-Aggregat ausgeführt, das heißt, es enthält einen Messserzylinder 35 mit zwei Schneidmessern am Umfang und einen Nutenzylinder 36 mit zwei Schneidnuten am Umfang. Claims (3)
- A method of operation of a web-fed printing press comprising printing units (2) for printing at least one web (10), wherein each printing unit (2) contains a forme cylinder (3), which is overlaid in the circumferential direction (U) and in the longitudinal direction (L) with: U=2 and L=3, or U=2 and L=4, or U=2 and L=6 upright broadsheet pages, and the aspect ratio of height (h) to width (b) of the upright broadsheet pages (4) is 3 to 2, characterized in that the forme cylinder is in each case overlaid in the circumferential direction (U) and in the longitudinal direction (L) with upright tabloid pages instead of with the upright broadsheet pages (4), namely in such a way that, when the forme cylinder is overlaid with U=2 and L=3 upright broadsheet pages, said forme cylinder is overlaid with U=3 and L=4 upright tabloid pages, that, when the forme cylinder is overlaid with U=2 and L=4 upright broadsheet pages, said forme cylinder is overlaid with U=3 and L=6 upright tabloid pages, and that, when the forme cylinder is overlaid with U=2 and L=6 broadsheet pages, said forme cylinder is overlaid with U=3 and L=8 upright tabloid pages.
- The method of operation of a web-fed printing press according to claim 1, characterized in that the web (10), which is printed with upright tabloid pages (19), is cut longitudinally to form ribbons (21, 23, 24) with the width of two tabloid pages (19), which are guided by way of formers (25, 26, 27, 28), are folded along a folding apparatus (6), and become tabloid products (32) in a cutting unit (29).
- The method of operation of a web-fed rotary printing press according to claim 2, characterized in that the cutting unit (29) contains a collecting cylinder, which collects tabloid books.
