- A lifting apparatus (H), comprising:- a chassis (2) including two side elements (3, 4) and a transverse carrier (5), the transverse carrier connecting the two side elements (3, 4) to one another,- at least one mast unit (1, 1a, 1b, 1c) including a mast (10, 10a) extending in a vertical direction of the lifting apparatus (H),- at least one height-adjustable connecting means (12, 12b, 12c) for connecting a lifting device,- the chassis (2) being designed to be modular,characterised in that- the side elements (3, 4) and the transverse carrier (5) are modules of the chassis, and- the side elements (3, 4) of the chassis (2) are also designed to be modular,- each side element (3, 4) including a plurality of monolithic sections (30, 40, 31, 41, 32, 42) being connected to one another and being modules of the modular side elements (3, 4),- each side element (3, 4) including a first section (30, 40), a second section (31, 41) and a third section (32, 42) being connected to one another,- the first sections (30, 40), the second sections (31, 41) and the transverse carrier (5) being hollow profiles embodied as tubes having a uniform cross-sectional profile in their direction of main extension,- the first sections (30, 40) and the second sections (31, 41) at least at one end and the transverse carrier at both ends each include a recess as a connecting structure,- the third sections (32, 42) comprising protruding portions each having a cross section corresponding to at least a clear cross section of a recess being provided as a connecting structure, wherein it is possible to insert the protruding portions into the respective recesses for connecting the third section to the first section (30, 40), the second section (31, 41) and the transverse carrier (5), and- the first section (30, 40), the second section (31, 41) and the third section (32, 42) of each side element (3, 4) are connected to each other by plug connections and the third sections of the side parts and the transverse carrier are connected to each other by plug connections.

- The lifting apparatus (1) of at least one of claims 1 to 2, characterised in that the first sections (30, 40), the second sections (31, 41) and/or the transverse carrier (5) are rectangular tubes.
- The lifting apparatus (1) of at least one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that each third section (32, 42) is a casting.
- The lifting apparatus (1) of at least one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the first sections (30, 40) and the second sections (31, 41) of the side elements are identical.
- The lifting apparatus (1) of at least one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the third sections (32, 42) of the side elements (3, 4) are symmetrical with respect to one another as far as their surface is concerned.
- The lifting apparatus (1) of at least one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that rollers (34, 44, 36, 46) are connected to the side elements by roller supports (33, 43, 35, 45).
