Abstract

La presente invención muestra una modificación de un fotobiorreactor tipo air-lift para la producción de biomasa, mediante la combinación del mecanismo de una columna de burbujas y un air-litt convencional. El fotobiorreactor tiene forma cilíndrica, de fondo plano o cónico, y cuenta con un circuito de recirculación interno que da lugar a la generación de multitud de burbujas, lo cual permite combinar ambos efectos. El fotobiorreactor que se describe en esta invención proporciona una agitación mucho más eficaz que los convencionales, evita la deposición de microalgas en las paredes, consigue una mejor transferencia de luz y mejor aprovechamiento del CO{sub,2}.The present invention shows a modification of an air-lift photobioreactor for biomass production, by combining the mechanism of a bubble column and a conventional air-litt. The photobioreactor has a cylindrical shape, flat or conical bottom, and has an internal recirculation circuit that leads to the generation of a multitude of bubbles, which allows both effects to be combined. The photobioreactor described in this invention provides much more efficient agitation than conventional ones, prevents the deposition of microalgae on the walls, achieves a better light transfer and better use of CO {sub, 2}.
