Abstract

The articulated seat comprises at least one support (103, 104), a back rest (100) and a seating (102) articulated together. It further comprises a foot rest (131) articulated to the seating (102) along an articulation (N-N') parallel to the seating-back rest (Y-Y') and back rest-support (X-X') articulations and means (133, 134) for hingedly connecting the foot rest (131) to a back rest portion (100) situated beyond the seating-back rest articulation (Y-Y') with respect to the back rest-support articulation (X-X'), so that any modification of the angular position of the back rest (100) with respect to its support (103, 104) results in an angular modification of the foot rest (131) with respect to the seating (102). The arrangement is particularly used in relaxation chairs with multiple positions.
