Abstract

The dispenser consists of a body, a front cover and a spindle. The dispenser can be fixed to a wall by screws or self adhesive fixers. Once fixed to the wall, a toothpaste tube can then be inserted, by removing the front cover, by placing the bottom of the tube into the centre spindle and replacing the cover to retain the tube. By rotating the centre spindle the toothpaste is dispensed in the required amount. <IMAGE>

Description

SPECIFICATION The toothpaste dispenser The toothpaste dispenser is a more efficient and economical method of obtaining toothpaste from a tube.
The dispenser consists of an oblong container with slots in each side in which a spindle rests. It can be secured to the bathroom wall in any position bv means of screws or adhesive.
The dispenser has two movable parts: No. 1 is a spindle with a turning knob at each end.
No. 2 is a front cover which slots into the container and holds the tube in place.
There is also a half moon shaped hole in the top of each of the two parts of the container.
When the two parts are pressed together the tube is held rigid.
When the front cover is removed the bottom of the tube is placed in the opening in the spindle with the top end pressed into the top part of the container. The front cover is then placed in position and in turn holds the tube, rigid and ready for use. The tube can then be squeezed by turning the knobs on either side. This allows the required amount of toothpaste to be dispensed from the tube.
When the tube has wound up to the top of the container and is finally empty it can easily be removed and a fresh tube inserted.
Claims (Filed on 31/12/82) 1. A more efficient, economic, simple and clean method of obtaining toothpaste. The dispenser may be fixed to the bathroom wall by screws or self adhesive fixers.
2. Once the appliance has been fixed to the wall, the front cover, which can be easily removed by unclipping leaves exposed the centre spindle through which the bottom of the tube is inserted.
The top of the toothpaste is screwed into the nozzle at the top of the appliance.
3. Once the tube has been inserted the appliance is ready for use. By a simpie rotation of the centre spindle using the two small knobs either side of the appliance (turning in a clockwise direction) the toothpaste is then dispensed to the amount required.
4. Once the tube is empty the centre spindle is rotated (using the knobs) in an anti-clockwise direction, to release the empty tube.
5. The appliance is now ready to be fitted with a new tube of toothpaste.
