Abstract

211,468. Thermokept Corporation, (Assignees of Willison, W. W.). Feb. 17, 1923, [Convention date]. Liquids and gases, separating.-Liquids, particularly heavy liquids, are freed from occluded gases by running them in the form of a thin sheet into an evacuated space in which they are subjected to agitation. A suitable apparatus comprises a tank 10 connected at 11 to a vacuum pump, and having a supply pipe 12 for liquid terminating in a flattened nozzle 14. An agitator 15 is provided near the bottom of the tank, and the treated liquid is continuously withdrawn through the valve 19. Specification 3470/92 is referred to.
