Abstract

211,733. Fricker, E. H. March 29, 1923. Atmospheric gas burners.-An atmospheric gas burner comprises an adjustable coiled spring 1 housed in a cage, comprising rings 3, 4 connected by longitudinal bars 5, the ring 3 being screwed into a recess in a screwed collar 2 connecting the upper and lower parts of the mixing tube together. A plate 6 screwed in the ring 4 may be adjusted by means of a screw-driver engaging a slot 7 in, or by a spanner engaging a. nut upon, the lower face so as to vary the distance between the coils of the spring and thereby regulate the passage of the gaseous mixture. In a modification, the plate 6 is formed in one with the cage which is screwed into or out of the recess in the collar when adjusting the spring. Specification 206,697 is referred to.
