Abstract

A lock for cycles motor cycles baggage caravans shopping trolleys or valuable clothing and goods comprises a U-shaped frame A closed by a plate B having two holes to receive the frame ends one of which has a retaining rivet. The plate hinges around one end of the U frame allowing it to be fitted to the object to be locked. It closes by pushing it on the other end of the U frame past a suitable hole into which a separate padlock E is fixed. <IMAGE>

SPECIFICATION Multi purpose security lock specification The subject of this invention is an adjustable multipurpose security lock comprising a partially enclosing rigid frame Drg. sheet 1. Detail A.

This frame is closed by a hingeing member Drg.

Sheet 1. Detail B. which has 2 apertures which allows it to fit over the 2 open frame ends Drg.

Sheet 1. Details C 8 D one end of the frame has a rivet or fastening device to hold member B permanently in place on the frame A on one side.

The hingeing member then swings open or shut and is pushed on to frame A. at detail D to close it.

Frames may be of round bar metal or plastic reinforced material and frames could also be of flat of sq. metal reinforced plastic material.

The frames has a plurality of holes X. Y. Z. etc.

Drg sheet 1. to allow for different usages. The depth of the throat of the device being thus varied to suit and is locked by padlock E. Dr. sheet 1.

Frame B may be U shaped sliding inside frame A and has its apertures located so that the padlock can enter through both frames A and B and lock them in a closed position.

Frame A and B can be fabricated to include tubes with locating holes in their construction.

The multipurpose usages include security for cycles, motor cycles, cars, garden and other gates, shopping trolleys, other wheeled devices.

Frame B may include protrusion F for insertion into ball hitch sockets and subsequent closing and locking for caravans, boat trailers, goods trailers bail hitches.

The device may be used to lock fur and other valuable coats through the sleeve to display racks in shops or storage. Its usage covers numerous goods where its construction and adjustability enable its use.

It can also be used as extra security for doors.
