Abstract

212,749. Courtaulds, Ltd., and Wood, F. T. March 21, 1923. Hank type.-The hanks 6 are supported on bent rods 8 which are given a movement about stationary rods 5 so that the hanks are alternatively raised and then lowered on to these rods and are at the same time traversed with respect to their length. The rods 8 are mounted on a bar 7 which is given the necessary circular motion by means of cranks 10 to which it is connected by standards 9 and which are carried by wheels 11 driven in unison by an electric motor 13; the whole of this driving-mechanism is above the bath. To keep the hanks immersed in the bath, rods 14 are provided; these are carried by a counterbalanced frame 15, 17 which is guided in standards 18 mounted on the bar 4 carrying the fixed rods 5.
