Abstract
213,788. Alldridge, E. May 2, 1923. Egg-cups.-An egg-cup is formed from one or more lengths of wire or strip metal to form a series of upstanding spring loops or bends 1 by which the egg is gripped. The upper ends may be left plain or formed with a number of eyes 6, Fig. 4, through which pass short lengths of chain 4 or links 5 to prevent the jaws being opened to too great an extent. The feet 2 may be joined together by a base ring. In a modification, the jaws 1. Fig. 5, are formed of separate wires soldered to a flat ring 7. Alternate feet may be bent inwards as at 9, Fig. 7, to form a base support for the egg. The feet and upper end may be twisted, as in Fig. 8. In a further modification, the cup is formed without feet for insertion in an ordinary egg-cup.
