Abstract

Pliers. - Handles of pliers and like tools are insulated by rubber &c. sleeves covering the handles and held on by engagement with "brake" members at the inner ends and ebonite buttons on the outer ends. As shown, the inner end of the rubber sleeve e engages on a " brake " member d of hard rubber or other insulating material screwed or fixed on the handle a, and the outer end engages a shouldered button f screwed or fixed on the end of the handle. The members d may have projections h. The outer sides of the handles a may be corrugated or recessed as shown at m.
