Abstract
This multi fitting insole is improvised for use in shoe manufacturing to increase the fitting potential of footwear in general. It is intended to improve measuring and fitting of shoes and to make the public more aware of feet in relation to footwear, ensuring correct length is observed and width is adjusted for comfort, even after sales or with swelling of the feet. The sole will be of assistance to parents to monitor shoes on purchase and afterwards during growth.
Description
SPECIFICATION
Multi fitting insole
Multifit insole is a shoe fitting aid containing one or more of the following qualifications:
As a length measuring guide for shoe and foot.
As a width adjustment facility.
As a length adjustment facility.
As a comfort aid for the adjustment of odd sized or problem feet.
Multi Sole is a removable inner sole made of any suitable material, the sole being marked in milimetres or any other size indicator, showing visual length inside the footwear from heel to toe built as a component part of the footwear or as an integral part, and accompanied optionally by a loose card inner sole length marker.
Multi Sole is designed to give a flexible degree of width or length or both, and is made up of removable layers of man-made or natural materials which can be peeled off or returned, as required, in order to improve fit and can be applied to any part of the inside or (outside) of uppers, soles, heels and toes of any type of footwear. It can also be in the form of a preformed toe puff and heel stiffner unit.
Multi Sole can be secured by any method of adhesive or wedging or suction or interlocking, or any other suitable means for that particular manufacturing requirement.
Multi Sole may have a finger loop or tape or hole for removal of sole from footwear.
Multi Sole can be sold as a separate Sundry Item.
1. This invention of innersole for the footwear trade is designed to give clear and precise linear measurement of the inside of footwear in a readily visual form.
2. This sole does not only show the full inside length of the footwear involved, it is also a measure for the foot itself, allowing necessary correllation between the two and the increased extension of footlength when weight-bearing.
3. The innersole incorporates an innovation for extra growth space by a simple means of peel-off layers of specially adapted structural fabric at the end of the toe, which can be removed or added as desired for improved fitting.
4. The above mentioned structural fabric forms the basic shape of the sole and is an integrated part of the shoe. As a loose component it allows removal not only for the length measuring and length adjustment facility, but also for width adjustment, by the same peel-off method on the back of the sole to attain the desired width fitting.
5. This sole is to be developed and improved upon over a period of time, various contingencies to include a foot shell, comprising heel seat sole and toe puff to slip over or into any part of the footwear.
