Abstract
213,865. Rowland, F. E. Dec. 27, 1923. Pouches. - A tobacco pouch is formed with two compartments, between which is a screen through which dust from the tobacco can fall from the tobaccocontaining compartment into another from which it can be emptied. The screen may comprise a lining for an ordinary pouch, part or all of which lining is of gauze-like material. In the pouch shown in Fig. 2 the tobacco compartment a has an inserted bottom portion c of gauze-like material through which dust can fall into the pocket b ; the dust can be emptied through the open mouth of the pocket. In the form shown in Fig. 4 dust can fall through perforations i in the tobacco compartment f into the pocket g, and can be emptied through a slot j, which may have a press-button or similar closure. The pouches may be of oiled silk, leather, or rubber.
