Abstract

214,466. Elliot, W. May 1, 1923. Golf clubs.-Relates to golf clubs having adjustable, detachable and interchangeable heads, and, as shown, comprises a club having a socket a terminating in a circular bulb b which is set at a suitable angle to the socket and is provided with a series of radiating recesses d, Fig. 2, adapted to receive a single flat feather n on the club head f. The shank g of the head passes through a hole c in the bulb and is threaded to receive a fly-nut m, a spring i being interposed between the nut and the bulb to form a slightly resilient connection. In a modification, Fig. 4, the recesses d are replaced by projections e which are spaced apart to receive the feather n. In a further modification, the shank g is shaped to fit a regular polygonal hole in the bulb b. Specifications 374/95 and 23578/01 are referred to.
