Abstract

An adaptor 10 for releasable attachment to a tank valve V of a gas tank has a spring-biased catch 24 journalled in a stem 22 which serves to retain the clipped-on adaptor 10 to the top of the tank valve V and a rotatable operating member 18 with a nose 36 which, in the "in" position shown, prevents movement of catch 24, the switch member 18 comprising a needle valve 30 for controlling the flow of gas through the adaptor. The operating member 18 has an eccentric shaft 28, which in the position shown, engages actuating member 26 to open tank valve V. The needle valve 30 has a shank 32 guided within eccentric shaft 28 and adjusted by screwing head 40. <IMAGE>
