214,743. Shanahan, H. F. Feb. 1, 1923. Plug couplings.-A socket contact for a plug and socket coupling has a split tubular member 1 reinforced by a substantially U- shaped resilient member 8 with upwardly and inwardly extending arms embracing the split ends of the tubular member. Both may be rigidly fixed to the underside of a terminal block 3 by a screw 9. The resilient member may be laminated.
