Abstract

215,564. Persichetti, C. S. May 3, 1923. Casings; counter-seales; pendulumweight apparatus.- An automatic or semi-automatic weighing machine has a frame mounted on the top of the housing for the main balancing mechanism, the frame being adapted to support an indicating movement including a pointer and a dial therefor. The scale pans 34, Fig. 8, are supported on usual lever mechanism arranged within a box 4, and the top of the box supports a frame 1, Fig. 1, carrying the usual pendulum 13, pointer 11<1>, dial 2 and dash-pot 3. The pendulum and the dash-pot are coupled to the lever system by connections 16, 27. By uncoupling these connections the frame 8 may be released from the box 4 and removed as a self-contained unit together with the pendulum, dial and dash-pot. As shown in Fig. 8 the frame and its fittings are covered by one-part hood 32 which may be removed without interfering with the mechanism.
