Ground anchors.-Three hollow members a, which receive a screwed spindle e and expanding member d, are held at their upper ends in a collar c and distance piece b. Fig. 3. Rotation of the spindle forces the members a apart into the .ground, tripod fashion. If the anchor is desired to operate some distance below the surface, a spacing member f, Fig. 1, may be provided. Modified forms are provided with eyes in place of the bolt-head e<1>.
